Transferring characters on a trial account

I purchased ffxiv 14 days ago to play with a friend. Upon installing and launching the game, I went to create a character on his server but was refused due to it's capacity.

Now, he is transferring to another server and I wish to transfer to his server. But, from what I've read on various posts and articles, free trials are unable to transfer at all between servers.

I would not have purchased the game if I knew I was unable to play with my friend. This limitation is unacceptable. I purchased this game in order to play and reconnect with a long distance friend.

I would like to request that transfers be enabled for trial accounts since this is the fault of Square Enix. Otherwise, I would like a full refund of the game.

Square Enix, I respectfully demand a response on this matter on behalf of myself, my friend, and any other person running into this same issue.

I'm still on my free trial though have registered my cc for automatic renewal and was able to transfer. In the initial eligibility it does say free trials doesn't qualify however I believe that has since been removed

Step 1: Confirm Your Eligibility
The following conditions must be met before using the World Transfer Service:

You must possess an active service account for FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn.
You must be logged out of the game.
Your character cannot be enlisted in a free company, holding a free company petition, or signed to a free company petition.
Your character cannot have items for sale on the market.
Your character cannot have items entrusted to the Calamity Salvager NPC.
Your character must rehire any retainers carried over from Version 1.0.
Your character must be logged out outside of any instanced areas.
The character you wish to transfer must be at least three days old.
Your service account cannot be suspended due to a violation of Terms of Service or a hold on the account.

Looks like the transfer went through.
