I want to suggest this ideia ( Implementation of an arena with dummy avatars for trainning first-timers ), because of the amount of first-timers that appear in the duty finder without any ideia of what they are doing, even with the vid's in those expert sites.
They just don't know how to make a "good" performance in those battles.
So basically this suggested ideia implies dummies avatars, you can't attack them and they can't hurt you, they will just do their supposedly routine while first-timers along with a tutor or more ( yes this implies also the tutoring system from FFXI :eek: ) will explain the first-timers what to do and where to go, along with the nots.

I'm pretty sure this is what Guildhests were made for.

And i'm pretty shure that they aren't enough!

I think they should add some newbie quests that involve the training dummies [kinda like the class quest does] and it would be cool if they put them in the arena in Uldah. Seems like people see them but do not feel motivated to use them until they see it in action. I say this because the dummies are always empty until I use one and then like magic, ppl start showing up an using them once they see someonelse doing so. This has happened to me every time I use them and its not just the level 1 training dummies its the level 50s too that have this same pattern of "social magnetism" that interest those passerby who normally ignore the dummies.

I agree that guildhests are VERY helpful but there should be more intro quests to lead new players to them because some seem to be unaware of the existence of guildhests well into their 50's.
