I know you need DoH 19+(except cooking) to do the Materia Quest. Let's say I level Alchemy to 20, unlock materia. Use some 100% spiritbbound items for materia. Can I slot those into my Black Mage armor, or do I need Weaving in order to slot into Cloth items?
From what I've seen, only a crafting class that can make the item, and is at the craft level of the item, can meld materia to it.
Edit: Every item states in it's description what class and level is required for melding (I missed that info at first too).
So Alchemy has no purpose in slotting Materia since it doesn't have the ability to craft? I ask this because I may just level Alchemy to get the skill to convert spiritbound items and have someone of skill slot them for me.
PS: Do you have someone else slot Materia via trade window?
Alchemy can craft. Some gear is made with Alchemy. Wands in particular seem to be Alchemy.
