It really depends on your PC specs :/ Even a new card may not give you enough "power" if the CPU and power supply are not enough.
Ah ok thanks. I would be able to say but my card died out* was old and used lol* so my PC wont turn on without turning off in 4 mins.
Just bought 2 of these. They're way over-kill for this game. But I do other gaming outside of XIV. You would be able to run this game on Max (given your other PC components are up to date) without any problem at all. (I currently run a 760 now, but upgraded to the SC, as I sold it to my friend who was looking for one cheap.)

Edit: Are you sure it's your video card and not your PSU?
The card A-Shock posted,

Is the best card you can get right now for the money. Anythign else would be an unefficient purpose. If your playing FFXIV at 1920x1080 one of those is enough to play the game at Max Settings. If your playing at 2560X1440 you'll need 2 of those in SLI to play at max settings.
Assuming your psu is up to scratch an nvidia GTX 650 or a Radeon 7790 are both easily up to running the game more than well enough and come in comfortably inside your budget. Neither is anywhere near being a top end card now but both are good enough for xiv.
Thanks for the replys everyone :) I Thought it was the PSU, got it checked out and the PSU was good just the card.
can you give us the specs? The 760 is good, but getting a 770/780, While moreexpensive will give you a little future proofing come newer games. If XIV is the only thing you play, a AMD 6950/ 660ti is what i'd go for, both are last gen so they'll be cheaper than the current ones. The new gen is nothing bubt rebadges really, a lil up in speed but nothing to to sway the extra money for
