There is no way to discard summer event items. If you brought more than one of the same item you cannot put it in the armoury in the inn room because that armoury only lets you store one of each item.

I am sorry to hear you are having trouble with discarding your summer items. This matter has already been brought to our attention and is currently under investigation by development. I recommend Here or Here for any updates in the future!
For now, I suggest opening an in-game ticket and offering a detailed explanation of the issue to the GM.
