-2147467260 During launcher startup

Anyone have a clue what this is? Tried researching and followed the instructions I have found and nothing. I freshly installed XP today as it was due time to reformat. Any help would be appreciated.

i am having the same problem if u can figure it out let me know i tried installing and uninstalling multiple times with no luck

Believe me wish I even had a clue what is actually causing the conflict. If its a game issue. A software issue I posses. Some weird bug. I don't have a clue whats causing it. To try and even fix it ; ;.

if you are running a firewall, might want to add frontier.ffxiv.com to the allowed list. Can check your logs to see if 124.150.157.190 is getting blocked. Seen people have trouble with their launcher because security was blocking either the site, or something on it.

I don't have anything active that I am currently aware of though. =/

Might need exceptions in the Windows Firewall for either/both the executibles and the site--firewall should be on by default (unless you installed from a lower service level).

All done and nothing ; ;. Don't really know what to do this is a fresh XP install I was playing without an Issue before =/

Have you run all the Windows Updates? Some have had issues that are thought to be with MSIE, or at least it's supporting technologies. Granted, the general thought is it is IE10, but with a fully updated Win8 system (through September, at least), I haven't had those issues with my launcher (IE10 comes on Win8). So it may be something else like .NET or something at fault.

hmm well I am running windows xp currently. It was running perfect until I reformatted yesterday. My pc was very slow so after 3 years I did it. I had a hell of a time getting it back up. And when I dl this i encounter this problem. Let me check my network frames and see whats up.
