Mysidia mainly japanese?
Hey I recently rolled a new character on Mysidia and I noticed unlike my old server it's very silent and most people talk in the auto translator. Is this a mainly japanese server? I know there's always going to be a japanese population but I've only seen two confirmed North Americans.

I've also just rolled a new character on Mysidia, but I've seen a few English-speaking players. It also doesn't seem any more quiet than my other server (Trabia), as far as I can tell.
I think the biggest reason is that most don't talk outside of their linkshell, and so far this seems to be a game-wide issue.

There's a good amount of English speakers on Mysidia. If you see me then...I speak English. I usually say random things on /say just to see if I can lure any English speakers into a short conversation.

The only time people shout or talk is when they are loking for something like /shout <levequest> <broken water> <you> <need> ? and stuff like that like in my ls we all just stay in ls chat.

Nah it's not mainly Japanese, though it does have a big Japanese presence. I know there are many many EU/US/Canadian people on this server, it's just people tend to talk in their shells more than in /say or /shout unless they need something.
Every once in a while you'll see /say and /shout convo's in Ul'dah though. :)
Good luck with your new character.

Strong Japanese presence, I believe it was dubbed unofficial JP server, with that said I am very happy with Mysidia and from what I have heard you will get the same type of social interaction on all the servers, we are though one of the few 3 Chocobo servers.

From my experience, this server has been good to both ENG and JP players. Sure the auto-translator only goes so far but I have managed to do leves, pugs, lower level NMS, and get HQ crafts made with the limited auto-translator functions we can utilize. This is a great server for ENG and JP players.

<Japanese I don't understand.> <Please use the auto-translate function.> <Skill Point Can I have it?> <please> <send tell>

Good mix of jp/nonjp players on mysidia. Heck most of the jp players i have interacted with have been really cool. And yea most of the time i do not talk with /say is well no one is talking to start with, its a big stinky catch 22.
