Hunting logs are locked

Issue:
My hunting logs are all locked. I finished rank 4 arcanist log fully and received all the bonus experience. The next rank (rank 5) is still greyed out and I can't access it. My Grand company rank 2 hunting log is the same situation. I cannot progress past the current rank in any log.

Steps:
-Finished rank 4 arcanist hunting log
-I tried to access rank 5 but it was greyed out and I could not even see the monsters on the list.
-I finished rank 1 of my Grand Company (Maelstrom) hunting log to see if that would "jump start" the other logs, but it just locked rank 2 out of it as well.
-I turned the game off and back on again, this did not help.
-I looked up the next monsters on the list on the internet and attempted to defeat them to "jump start" the rank 5 hunting log. It did not work and the enemies did not have the hunting log logo over their head.
-I sent Square Enix Support a message through their website and they directed me to post this here.

Each rank of the hunting log is unlocked every 10 levels, for example you get ranks 1-10 after a few quests in, then you can start rank 2 at 10, rank 3 at 20, rank 4 at 30, and rank 5 at 40. Based on your avatar looks like you're only level 36 (correct me if that's wrong) so get four more levels and you can get that next hunting log page!

To add to the above, your situation with grand company logs is similar. You'll need to level up and progress farther in the story to be able to unlock it.

And by progress further in the story, he means finish the main story quest. The last tier of the grand company log does not unlock until you complete the main story quest.
