Stunning Ram's Voice?
This is probably a dumb question but I'm finding mixed results from my search online.
In the Relic Reborn quest when fighting Chimera is it possible to stun Ram's Voice, or do you have to silence it?
I ask because I was told the other day in a group that it was only possible to silence it. Since I was the only one doing interrupts it caused quite a problem.

stun works ... preferably it should be done by someone other then main tank as chimera gives paralyze + slow

Stun works according to the guy in my FC that usually stuns for that fight on PLD. However, Chimera seems to build up stun resistance super quickly and unlike the other moves, Ram's Voice is almost assuredly a wipe when it gets off so you do not want any uncertainty at all when trying to stop it.
Sticking to silence for Ram's Voice just makes sure that you won't actually get resisted as Silence moves are on a much longer timer and he seems to not ever resist it.
Blunt arrow seems to "resolve" much faster than Spirits within which is why 1 bard in the group is ideal, but you can do it just fine on PLD if you have good reflexes.

Everything "build up stun resistance super quickly". Commonly called "diminishing returns" or just "DR".
Here's a demonstration: Get a paladin with high enough level to have Shield Bash skill. Go find a trash mob with enough HP that you won't kill it too quickly. Cast Shield Bash as quickly as you can (~2.5 sec apart). You'll notice that it stuns for 1 amount, then stuns for a lesser amount, then becomes immune to stun, then later stuns again for the longest amount (ie, reset).
The rotation I used as PLD for chimera stunning was Shield Bash, Shield Bash, Spirits Within, repeat. Watch out for some other person casting a stun or silence though. If 2 stun/silence near same time, you get Diminishing Returns faster.
You'll find roughly the same pattern with Stun, Silence, Sleep, and Blind. I'm not sure about Slow, Bind, Heavy, etc. but good chance they're the same.
