Jerk in your party?

So you have a jerk in your group. He's trolling the dps, he's behaving well, like an 8 year old. What can you do? It's duty finder and the internet is anonymous right? This guy can get away with murder because hey, he doesn't know you and what he does won't impact him at all.

Try out this move, go to http://na.finalfantasyxiv.com/lodestone/character/

Then look up the characters name. This will give you lots of information about this person, and it's not a big deal from here to contact the GM of his free company to let them know what kind of person he has representing his guild. Sure, if you go at the GM with mad aggression you are not going to get a positive reaction from him. I guarantee if people keep telling this GM that his guy's a jerk they're going to have words. People act this way because there no repercussions from doing so, so give some repercussions.

That's why I love being a tank if ppl start trolling in a dungeon I can get things to murder them for me. :)

When it's obvious you won't reason/don't want to, the only thing you can do is leave. It might be punishing for dps, but might as well be better than having bad emotions from run with people you don't want to play with. Try to find tanks/healer (they actually often play in pairs) on your server, become friends with them and enjoy instant queue, it is beneficial for them too, since pre made group is much more fan than having two random people.

Yeah, I have a couple healers I normally run with. My usual thing is to go to Revenants Toll and shout for a couple DD. Normally only takes once shout and we're golden. Typically much more pleasant and I've made friends with some of those people that I've picked up that way.

You're cute. First off, I am a tank so not really a big deal to me personally, this info was for you. Secondly, I am a FC leader of about 250 players and I would WANT to know. Try and troll me again and I will taunt you a second time :P

I typically only try to contact FC leaders when I see someone in his/her FC out botting. Either the account has been hacked (which the real player will want to know asap) or his FC has a cheater (that needs booting). Unfortunately there's no PM option in the Loadstone, so it can be difficult if the FC lacks a website. But I could see doing it in extreme cases of DF misbehaviour as well.

Why? Not worth the trouble. Besides, FC might not even care or be another troll ... birds of a feather flock together. Players build FC groups to troll others all day ... in fact its one of the best reasons against the vote kick. Going through the trouble of trying to "get revenge" on these lowlives will only serve to get the reactions these miserable peices of steamy dookie live off of. Youll only be validating their pathetic existance.

Just turn off group chat, simple as that. Let the group know youre turning it off because X player is being an ahole, wish them good luck, and keep going. If someone drops its their DF cooldown, not yours. Simple. Nothing pisses off a kid throwing a temper tantrum more than complete and total dismissal of his rage.

is just a fad new form of sheep/followers they are not leaders and afraid to be themselves or ask for help so they act out and disguise it by calling it trolling. and just like a child throwing a fit ignore them
