Artists, individuality, and MMO's

I am an artist. I write, I paint, I create a lot of digital images, logos, letterheads, presentations, you name it. If it's creative, I'm interested.

Based on this, I tend to follow a path in a MMO that I follow in real life. I seek out individuality. Uniqueness. I don't like to be one of the crowd. I'm sure you understand where I'm going with this.

In many, if not all MMO's, when you get to the highest levels, you look like everyone else, because there's only one "best" armor. I am glad in FFXIV, there appears to be different kinds of armor that are similar in make.

What I am asking for, SE, is twofold, first, please provide us with armor and accessories that can be customized to our liking (dyes, etc) but still be as strong as the "strongest" armor or whatever "the best" is. Second, please revamp your character creation module to add far more variety, as it stands it is sad. I grow very weary of seeing my exact same hair and face style staring back at me several times a day (which was also a problem in XI).

Many do their best on the forums to be unique and I commend them. But I don't really want to be an individual here. I want to express myself there, with color and interesting combinations of armor.

I haven't played in a bit because I grew weary of looking like everyone else.

Honestly, can only go so far. I see the same exact Elin dancing next to me quite a bit in Tera and it has a fair bit more options than XIV does. Probability states that you will always get duplicates, even if it ends up being 1/320 chance instead of a 1/24 chance.

Armor wise, they're always adding armor and they're always adding multiple colors and etc. I highly doubt there will be custom dying armor till the PS3 release as they already mentioned adding your own symbols and dyes etc prior to XIV's release.

Just add enough options and it is not hard to get the probability to something like one in a billion.

too much data. that is the issue. eveb in aion you would still get clones. even PWI you have clones.
