I think what should be done with Gil spammers and bots is to just put them in a Purgatory state, where the world still goes on around them, but no one can hear them and gathering nodes don't yield items.

A person would notice a problem right away and either relog or complain - but a bot would just waste hours of time and bandwith.

Its more the gilbuyers fault IMO if they wouldnt buy it making it profitable then noone would sell it
