Need help

Hi i bought the game started my free trial now its ended i did a code but my free trial is up and now when i log in it says---Use of the Lodestone requires a FINAL FANTASY XIV service account with at least one character.
Please log-in again after you have created a character in-game.I need to know how to pay when i try all i get is error when i do pay will i still be a paladin that i am now can a mod or anyone write to let me know because like i said i done got the game and done did the code i need help with this
