FATE Healing / Raising Rewards

Please adjust how FATE rewards are calculated for healing and raising.

I just completed the Behemoth FATE with a full party who all got Gold medals. I was on White Mage and focusing solely on keeping people in my party alive. I also threw random people a cure when they needed them and cast Raise throughout the fight about a dozen times.

I got absolutely nothing because I didn't do something directly to Behemoth. So despite being on the hate list (I had a green 'Behemoth' in my enmity list) and contributing a mega amount of healing and raises to the FATE, I got nothing. Not even a consolation "Thanks for turning up!" Medal. This is not really encouraging people to play the most important role on these FATEs!

Also, before "You should have done something" Yes in hindsight this is quite easy to say; but I was focused purely on keeping people alive as much as possible. That is, after all, a White Mage's job. The fact that all that curing and raising was totally ignored is a ridiculous design fault.

I agree with you. Something should be done about this. I was told by others that it only counted when you healed people in your party but your story seems to contradict that. Personally, I always deal damage. I am so serious about this, I play Conjurer, not White Mage when I am doing FATEs, this way I can heal people and deal a lot more damage.

I've had the same experiences, and it's interesting that we as healers don't get credit for healing b/c when you do a multi-mob fate,it becomes even more dangerous to be a healer because all the new and untapped mobs make B line right to you.

While leveling scholar, if I heal people in FATEs I get nothing. If I madly tab-Bio spam the mobs (even if I do barely any damage), I get gold.

There's something not quite right here.

Gold reward is determined by threat tables in fates. Remember: you have to damage 1 mob at least 1 time to get credit.

As a healer, you should get gold every time.

Quick Guide
1. Arrive at fate
2. tab to first mob and apply your instant dot (both healers have one)
3. spam a few heals for 10 seconds
4. tab to mob apply dot
5. repeat steps 3 and 4
6. get gold

You should also be able to get gold without healing. tab target mobs and apply dot.

That's all well and fine, but it does NOT work on Odin or Behemoth. And what I'm saying applies for Summoner as well. When the boss is maxed out on DoTs, you can't do that anymore. The instant damage may hit, but for Summoners especially they get screwed.
