When is it safe to remove my card information?

I just resubbed, and I don't feel comfortable leaving my credit card information active on the website for a long period of time. Currently the transaction is pending, so is it safe to assume I can just remove the card information now? Or should I wait until the transaction goes totally through?

it should approve in less than 24 hours, then i'd remove it

as soon as you see the charge and negative mark on your billing statement, you can take it out.
