Mysteriously Quiet Magitech

This may have come up before, but I see little mention of it. It's a 'quality of life' thing, but one that makes me sort of stare at the monitor with my mouth agape. Why do the magitech suits not have sound? Where's the sound? Why don't they make noise when they fire their gun, or launch explosives? There's a sound for them, you can hear it in the FMV at the start of the game, why isn't that used?

See also the turrets in CM, the shells make sound when they impact, but firing them? Silent. Why? Why?! This seems like such an insanely inane sort of thing to miss. Was it conscious decision?

they're there, you just don't have the files. try repairing your game. or checking your sound settings.

How do I perform a repair? And what sound setting would muffle it?

Yeah trade me your stealth tech armor. mines a noisy monster.

This is actually linked to character settings > battle effects > others

Try to select show all.

And if you play smn/sch , pet animation also belong to others category.

Ah ha, it was set to 'limited'. I'll give this a try and report if the sound starts working again. Many thanks in advance either way for replying.

Side note, this does not affect the 'clang clang clang', that works just fine. Just bizarre that in CM and Preatorium that firing your cannons and explosive shells are so utterly silent.
