Ever since I've played FFXIV (a bit CB, Early Access) it has been thru a PS3, main reason is that I don't own a PC (don't want either). Latency issues have been bad probably for the last three or so weeks. I'm not calling it lag because some think it's graphical lag; what I experience is latency, as in things stop, I can cast but nothing happens, and then a couple of seconds fast forward.
Since I'm on PS3, I can't know what IP the game is connecting to, thus, I can't do a tracert.
I've already did these:
- Port forwarded
- Trying both wireless and wired connections
- Resetting my main modem/router
I have a 15 Mb/s (?) cable connection, and it would seem that browsing is normal while the lag is going on. I'm playing on Cactuar server, I live in Central America (Panama, not the one in FL). It's really frustrating because I want to keep progressing but the latency just kills it.
Still subscribing, hoping this will get fixed, but not sure if it will be? Would really appreciate some guidance on the topic. I don't have a lot of time to play because of work, so it's kinda great to have latency... >_<

From what I gather from other posts is that it is ISP's throttling. But throttling mostly happens on the upstream, not downstream
