high tech presence in bahamut coil (spoiler?)

what exactly is going on inside yhe coil? i can understand the corrupted crystals but the high tech elements seem to be rather out of place - unless it's similar to zilaat's technological establishments in Ru'auns Gardens, but anyhow, does anyone know?

From what I understand it's all a bunch of Allagan tech, and they were WAAAY more advanced than either the Eorzeans or Garleans.

Now beware, because I am reading a lot into this. 100% speculation.

I postulate that ADS stands for Automatic Defence System.

You've imprisoned the most bad-ass thing on the planet into an artificial moon, right? You don't expect it to just sit there.
I further postulate that Dalamud was designed to draw on Bahamut's essence to power its defence systems that continue to subgugate any attempt made by the elder primal to move.

Did that small claw of yours twitch there, Bahamut? HIGH VOLTAGE! BAM!

because im under the impression that bahamut was already freed, and in the event he was 'incarcerated' somehow by louisoix, he was done so via magic, not machina.

lol thanks, probably. i'm sorry i'm not there yet and probably won't be for a while, could you explain hat exactly isbthe coil of bahamut? you make it sound like it being tje remnant of dalamud?

Ah... it might be best if I leave it there. I had, from your question, assumed you had set foot inside.

But if you insist:

Broadly speaking, parts of Dalamud crashed into the landscape, burying themselves deep underground. These impacts caused the surrounding areas to become over-aspected crystal.
Bahamut's body seems to have been bound in this coil of crystallized rock, deep underground, with the Allagan tech from the remnants of Dalamud continuing to fulfill their designed purpose.

At least, that's the closest theory I have.
