Details:
Since patch 1.17a is out game give this error , unabling to update , the ports are all opened. Reinstalled the game several times and same error.

There might be an issue with P2P from your ISP. I have never heard of them before, and since its DSL, there is probably packet loss, which FFXIV in general seems to hate currently. Check with them to see if they are blocking anything to allow you to download torrents, as the updater is a torrent program to begin with.
I can download torrent with full line speed.
i got the exact same problem.
I'm also on Windows 7 64 bits, but my cg is an ati 5850.
Any news regarding a possible way to solve this?
