Why is it I can over-meld materia to one tourmaline HQ ring but not the other? same stats, same materia, except when i attempt to meld the 2nd one it says this item cannot be melded any further?
I really need some insight into this for not just this piece but every piece.
Does an HQ ring have an extra melding slot? According to xivdb.com the NQ Tourmaline Ring only has one slot. I'm not very familiar with melding so only a few things come to mind:
- Only HQ items can be multi-melded (I doubt this is the case?)
- You haven't actually done the quest in front of Mutamix to be allowed to multi-meld items.
- The NQ version of this item is legitimately bugged.

it could be something new, or it something we already know but you worded it differently so it sounds like a new thing
