Hello all, I recently just purchased the Collectors Edition of this game and had it installed from the disc. I started patching it up last night when my power went out. Now this morning, As I try to resume my download, the little boot box is stuck on "Preparing to Download" and suggestions?
Give it a couple moments to sync. Mine does this as well every now and then. If it does persist, I would go into:
Documents -> My Games -> Final Fantasy XIV -> downloads -> ffxiv -> 2d2a390f and 48eca647.
Each of those last folders has a patch folder in them. Delete anything within those files. Then restart the patcher and see if that works.
Albeit, this will restart any downloads, but something probably got corrupted when your power went out.
