My account is compromised. My name is Wolfies Fenrir on Phoenix. My friends are telling me he making my 50 blackmage bot in dragonhead. Can you please force him out of the game so I can log in? I've already changed my password. Your email support is so slow I have to use forums as well.

You should use a one time password (authenticator). And maybe install Microsoft security essentials.

Least after they restore your account because it will most likely be banned until you call them to prove your identity.

If you cancel your service account (NOT your main Square-Enix account) for a couple hours, it should boot the RMT. Just re-enable the service account after the RMT is booted, and you have a one-time-password device/software enabled on your account. This method generally takes a few hours, and has a high chance of success. SE support generally takes several days to a week, and has a mediocre chance of success.

I got it back. But they sold all my inventory and everything. I'm waiting for a data restore. Any idea how long those can take?

Authenticators seem absolutely necessary these days when considering Fansites and Forums, Guides and other social sites for the game - how easy it is for individuals to log keys there - and an authenticator has proven thus far an all but 100% security, not accounting for an Act of God or other type systematic compromise scenario internally, as they do warn is possible I think.

Also, it's free. Some claim their client crashed and cannot access it again with tech support and more hassle, but those individuals apparently did not use the emergency removal code for a rather quick fix. It's instructed at the beginning to secure that code in case that happens.

Why would fansites put anyone at risk?????????? Oh yea.. cause some ppl are so stupid they use the same password for everything. NEVER use important passwords on fansites, or any other site for that matter. MMO accounts should be treated just like your personal online banking. You dont use your online banking pass everywhere on the internet (because you dont want it compromised)... why would you use your MMO's pass everywhere on the internet.
