get rid of the move bar
i'd like to see them just get rid of the middle bar completly, go back to all macros like in ffxi. having both is just clunky and not working right for me. either that or give us a majillion bars that we can add macro sets too, but then it's same as just macros exept it's a one stack rather then a 2 stack for speed and ease.
make creating macro's way easy or drag and click or somehting simple. having both don't work right. and i don't think anyone used both the box and macros in ffxi, i barely used the scroll down. and putting this thing right dab in the middle of screen now is horrible.

What do you mean all macros like XI? They'll have to have some sort of menu system intact for those who dont want to use macro shortcuts for everything. Unless im completely misunderstanding what you mean.
-
I also don't understand what you're talking about. Please explain your suggestion more clearly.

I dont think thats a good idea, the action bar is great, only macros I have is to turn aoe on and off for certain spells and gear/job swaps. I would say the macros are clunky and the action bar is the thing that is smooth

If they get rid of action bar, then we need a menu ffxi-like. Yes, people used it, not macro-only. so, it's all work for nothing
-
Pro-tip: Use the "move bar" as you call it (otherwise known as the Action Bar) for your single target spells and attacks, and macro your AoE's and heals.
Combine the 2 systems and you find you can actually play quite efficiently.

The commmon point of all the final fantasy was a menu with attack, magic, items....etc. Formyself it was a final fantasy touch!
Final fantasy XIV just pick up action bar of all oriented action mmorpg.
Get rid of action bar yes please, and welcome back to a menu final fantasy-like.

Menus work for the console FF games that have a slower pace, set character spots, turn-based but it's clunky in an MMO especially FFXIV where it's more action-oriented. Action bars are great, macro system exists for those who want to use it. God forbid the genre should innovate and change ever.

there is way too many abilities and the battle too fast paced for it to be going into spells drill down to the spell you want then pick it. This is much more fluid imo

I like the move bar. The key to using it successfully is stacking your moves so that they're only one or two keypresses away from each other. You have three levels of commands. Using the three levels to make it so that your key skills are all next to each other is essentail (especially if you use a gamepad, like me).
If you don't want to do it that way, then you can use the NUMERIC keys, or you can set your own hotkeys and make it so that your skills are easy to use.
Don't complain about the interface because you don't want to use it to your advantage. Having this flexibility is one of the things that makes this game as good as it is.
I hated the FFXI setup. It was similar to the traditional FF setup, but it was confusing, and got stale after about 15 minutes (it could be because the battle system was so much slower too). The move bar is a great tool if you use it properly.
USE YOUR INTERFACE TO YOUR ADVANTAGE.
