Neat little idea for optimizing a StoneSkin combo on Warrior.

1) In Defiance
2) Healer casts Protect on you
3) Use Thrill of Battle (maybe even toss in a Vit potion! ;-) )
4) Stone Skin lands before ToB wears off
5) Foresite to further reduce incoming damage at this point.

Here's the question:
It seems that by going purely on tooltips, 18% of a greatly (temporarily) inflated HP pool is a LOT.

Does the SS effect get re-calculated when ToB vanishes, or is it "Locked In" based on the current stats when it lands?

If it's locked in, that's a lot more damage mitigation possible, and may justify team-co-ordination timed macros<se.#> like we used to do with Magic Burst.

ie:
/p "Begin casting SS on War now!" <se.1>
/wait # (however long to allow for notify to begin casting stoneskin)
/ac "Thrill of Battle" <me>
/wait 2.5
/ac "Foresite"

Seems like a crazy extra amount of work to just get another 200-300 out of a stoneskin cast... A tank with 7000 HP would get 1260 from stoneskin. If they used thrill of battle the stoneskin would now be 1512. Or 1512-1260 = a 262 higher absorb every 180 secs. This equals an extra 1.45 more heals per second. Would it make Stoneskin more efficient? Yes. Would it make it more efficient then normal heals? No.

Yes it gets locked in. I do this with Defiance if I'm not tanking. Put Defiance up, get Stoneskin, take Defiance off, and the Defiance'd value of SS stays on me.

It's definitly a good thing to do if you're on vent/ts/mumble/skype with you healer since it would be easy to set up but I hardly see it being possible in PUG, you need to have thrill off cd, a window of opportunity where stoneskin > heal and then you need to tell your healer who needs to see and act before everything is already over.

Since I'm pretty much always with my FC, yep. Gonna be doing this.

I think it makes sense to use your Foresite cooldown while you're taking 0 damage to make that last a little bit longer, don't you agree?
