question about the unspoiled ores

Hi.

I just hit 50 with my miner and now I need to gather some darksteel. However I have run through all Coerthas and haven't been able to find any ore.

So i have 3 questions:
1) How exactly does the Truth of The Mountains work? Do i put it once and it will pop up ores on the minimap when i run past them or it works more like Lay of the Land which you need to activate all the time. I do see the buff and it is not going away, however i did not see any ores while running around the map.... so just wonder...

2) Are the unspoled mines shared between the players or is it the same as the normal mines - individual for each player?

3) do they dissapear even though i don't mine them?

Unspoiled nodes appear only at specific times during each Eorzean day. Darksteel in particular spawns just south of Camp Dragonhead at 1 AM Eorzean time.

1) Truth of the Mountains can just be left on; the problem here is that unspoiled nodes probably aren't there at the time so it just looks like it's not working.

2) Individual for each player.

3) Yes. They'll disappear after roughly two hours Eorzean time (6 minutes real time), and if you touch them at all and exit, they'll disappear - whether or not you actually mined anything.

There are only a few Unspolied nodes in the world, and they only spawn at a specific time of day (Eorzean time). They'll stick around for several Eorzean hours and then disappear if you don't mine them. It spawns in the same location for every player, and any number of people can gather from them (i.e. someone else beating you to the node won't prevent you from using it. everyone who gets there within the spawn window can gather from it).

If you're on a map during the spawn window, Truth of the Mountains will show a glowy gathering node on your minimap (even if the node is aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaall the way across the map) and a notification will pop up on your screen saying something along the lines of "Level 50 Unspoiled Node located to the South". Without Truth of the Mountains active, you won't see the unspoiled node, so leave it active when you're on your Miner.

Ahhh ok.. now it makes sense. I just found some table with time when it spawns and it said like 10PM. Didn't think that was meant Eorzean time. So i was like "damn. are they seriously - i'm not gonna get up in the middle of the night to just mine" :D

I found an unspoiled node... and was reading the help windows... then the node dissapeared on me lol... =(

i didnt leave the node window either ><

That happened to me, too. According to the first reply, they disappear after six minutes no matter what, so that's what happened to both of us, I guess. I was relieved to hear you don't share them with other players; I thought you did.
