Help with crafting rotations

I have a weaver at level 40 with mostly HQ gears for my level as you can see it here:

However, I still can't 100% HQ the Linen Yarn which is a level 32 recipes from NQ flax. This is the rotation I'm using:
Inner Quiet = IQ
Great Strides = GS
Steady Hand = SH
Intermediate Touch = IT
Careful Synthesis = CS
Waste Not = WN
IQ -> GS -> SH -> WN -> 5xIT -> CS
This usually nets me about 60% HQ if none of the touches are on good condition but I want more reliable method to gain as close to 1900 quality as possible.
I have leveled every DoH to 15 but armorer and carpenter, will get carpenter today so I have cross-class skills available. I was thinking manipulation to be used at 20 durability but it costs 88 CP and would have to replace 3x IT with Hasty Touch to get that amount of CP. Does Rumination recover lots of CP? I've seen it recover somewhere between 8-9CP per stack.

The first big problem I see here is you're starting off with great strides. That should be saved for the final touch, after all, a double touch of 400 control is worth twice that as a double touch of 200 control with the inner quiet bonus.

Another thing you should look at is putting steady hand AFTER Waste Not. Even if you only have 5 durability, it counts the same as 10, this let's you get the same use of a waste not and maximize use of steady hand charges.

Armorer only gives you a 250% progress skill, GREAT for emergency screw ups in crafting or the really hard crystal synthesis, but not going to get you HQ resources.
Carpentry will give you a skill that trades the inner quiet bonus for a little bit of extra CP. It's sometimes worth it to use that to go for a great strides and touch than just an extra touch at the end. Experiment to find out.

hmm Dew thread should be very easy for you to HQ since its a level 23 pattern. *reads that again* OH you mean Linen Yarn which is made from Flax. To me it sounds like your rotation and gear is good for what level your at. The best option I can recommend would be to just start grabbing the HQ flax. I actually leveled up my Botony to 31 just so I could farm stacks of HQ flax and not have to deal with the Market for it.

Alchemy at 15 can get you the Tricks of the Trade skill which I find usefull if the timing of the good qualities is favorable for regaining CP rather than using a GS - Touch ability.
Culinary 37 Gives SH2 which costs 3 more CP for a extra 10% so is more useful overall than SH1.

Yeah I got botany to 33 to gather Flax but I want to be able to HQ the NQ Flax as well since farming 300NQ I only got like 90HQ. I HQ everything weaver can make for gathering classes and have Leatherworker make me the rest. Besides HQ is capped at 15% base anyway. I do have Tricks of the Trade to use right after Inner Quiet if a good condition shows up.
It's true that I should save Great Strides for the end touch though so I might change around a bit. This rotation was adequate for Dew Thread when I was level 27 so I have been sticking with it for a while which is why I asked for inputs going forward. I haven't had Culinary to 37 yet but it does sound great 3CP for 10% more. I don't really like Hasty Touch since it's 50% chance and SH1 is bugged. It only gives 10% chance now. So does SH2 give 30% or 20%?

Try this rotation:
IQ>WN>SH>(HT x 5)>MP>SH>HT>BT>GS>AT>CS

MP = Manipulation
BT = Basic Touch
AT = Advanced Touch

Hmm, I don't have AT yet and my current CP is insufficient for that rotation, that I can fix with a stone soup. I'll try it with IT instead and if it works out, will try for more CP to use it at 43. Thank you. One question though, how reliable is Steady Hand boosted Hasty Touch?

I've been able to HQ pretty much all my Linen Yarn by using 1 NQ and 1 HQ Flax.

Inner Quiet
Steady Hand
Waste Not
Basic Touch
Standard Touch
Standard Touch
Advanced Touch
Great Strides
Advanced Touch
Careful Synthesis

You can even use just Basic and Standard touches if you don't have Advanced yet.

That pretty much guarantees 83-94% quality. It's actually become a problem, since I like to only use 1 HQ mat with other NQ mats, but I always have way more HQ than NQ.

Hmm, doing that wouldn't you risk failing touches on the last Advanced Touch since it's 90% success rate? Would it be better to save 22CP to use Steady Hand again before Great Strides?

It wouldn't hurt. I'm just too lazy at this point, having crafted well over 1000 Linen Yarn, that I just don't bother if it doesn't fit in one macro (with the exception of Inner Quiet, which I press manually).

My rotation is a little variable but for 40 durability items I mostly do something like this.

Inner Quiet
if "Good" - Tricks of the Trade
Steady Hand
if "Good" - Tricks of the Trade
Waste Not
Tricks of the Trade on first "Good" but no others (since 5 durability is same as 10 I use it on the first good that comes up for a free action)
Hasty until Waste Not is done (3x or 4x depending on Tricks)
if "Good" - Tricks of the Trade
Steady Hand
if "Good" - Tricks of the Trade
Waste Not
Tricks if you havn't procced it on the first go round on the first Good
Hasty until Waste is done leaving you with 5 Durability
if "Good" - Tricks of the Trade
Master's Mend

Then from there you factor in how much CP you have left and can modify your approach. If enough CP then another round of Steady/Waste Not is good. Calculate in Rumination bonus to see when you need to use it for extra CP.

Also to note, use best touch on Excellent condition at any point in the craft if it appears.
