In the PC interface, when trying to target the Focus target via mouse, it will only work if clicking on the name.
Considering any other target element in the interface (main target, target of target, party members...) can be targeted by clicking any related element such as the health bar, I suppose this is an UI bug (in fact it is quite difficult to target the Focus).
