So much lag

Before anyone jumps down my throat, I am not here to say SE is the cause behind it. I am here to understand why I might be getting this lag out of no where, ever since the maintenance last night I have been receiving everyone standing still in one position, then skipping to another place after the lag passes. Rare occasions I will see everyone, and enemies standing still and I am unable to do anything; which results me in a wipe because I am standing in stuff. Skype has not suffered any lag during this time, as well as my internet browser or any other application I ran after I experienced this lag on FFXIV. Again, I am not here to say SE is the cause of it but I am here to understand why this might be happening to just the FFXIV game. Has anyone else been experiencing lag? I have heard a few have, but I am unable to know if that is just a coincidence or actually the server having an issue. My FPS does not drop, and like I stated nor does my internet. This occurs in and out of instance servers, and as well I am located on the Goblin server.

Whether or not it is SE's fault, it is happening to a significant amount of players. So it is, regardless of fault, an issue SE needs to sort out to provide quality service to their user base.

You are not alone. It has been an issue over this whole month. But not as significant as it has been today.

Pretty much everyone picked today at this time to run their AK runs, instance servers are exploding.

I've spent hours reading thousands of posts the last week on the lag thing, you are definately not alone.

It seems that there have not been any further posts about this concern being an ongoing issue. Because of this, we are considering it to be resolved.
