FFXIV client download -- HELP!

I finally caved after playing this game on PS3 and bought a PC to play it on. I am currently download the FFXIV Client and it's download at 0.04 MB/S. It this normal?

I managed to download Diablo 3 at 1.9 MB/S. Are SE servers really this bad? Does it really take a whole week to download the client?

Updates do not come from SE run servers (maybe in Japan they do but not 100% sure on that). They leased space on a CDN (Akamai).
