Monk Macro.
Hey Guys.. I'm only level 27 PUG. Anyway I wanted to share you guys a pretty simple macro.
/ac "Featherfoot" <me>
/ac "Haymaker" <t>
/ac "Internal Release" <me>
/ac "Snap Punch" <t>
/ac "True Strike" <t>
/ac "Bootshine" <t>
Just put these all in a row and will use the first skill you can use starting from the top. change it up however.. It helps reduce the number of buttons you use... I only use two rotations so I have one other button that has Twin Snakes instead of True STrike.. Anyway thought I'd share-

You really should be using Featherfoot and Internal Release on separate keys.......
-
Yea, I would think also that haymaker, since it takes a GCD, also messes up your rotation if you are in a buff generating/sustaining rotation.
And put your cooldowns on a separate key to have finer control.
-
I might take the two buffs off later, but i like to use them at the moment. Featherfoot gives me more chance to dodge and use haymaker which has a 170 potency and slows them by 20%.. And in parties i will have featherfoot on a seperate key. I don't really know the math though I don't have a dps meter.

I find it so much better to NOT use macros for DPS. I only use them for buffs. Battles change which means your rotation will change.
-
Macros are usually bad. While it's fine for low levels, if you use them now, you're going to be a bad monk when you get to end game.
-
I find macros too cumbersome to use for DoW/DoM classes, especially Monk. I'd have to remember which skills are in which order and what is included. Better off just having them on the cross-bar. I only use almost 2 cross-bars for skills at level 50. You don't want to burn through your buffs if it's not needed so putting them together with the 3 forms skills is a bad idea. If you do put the 3 form skills in 1 button, I recommend having Bootshine, True Strike and Demolish on 1 and Dragon Kick, Twin Snake and Snap Punch on the other as they use the same sides to attack from.

No....Hell no.
Bad Monk, bad....bad bad bad.
Monks should never resort to using macros, unless it's for buffs or soloing. Using macros on a complicated job like a Monk just lessens your effectiveness, promoting lazy gameplay. Already a tough enough time competing with other, easier to play classes, gimping yourself via macro-spamming worsens the problem.
Threads like these should be deleted, else new players to the job might think these are good ideas.

what others have said, plus don't use haymaker its useless (at least for dps rotation)
-
Well I'll use it. I guess I'll figure out when the best time to use internal release is and also remove featherfoot. As for the rotations though I'd rather just pick one and press the same button till it gets to the end of the rotation, even if thiers 4 rotations its not hard to tell when with all the on screen messages. I use a ps3 controller so have it on o x square and triangle makes my life easier. So yah lazy or not I think it will work out for me in the end and I won't be using any less skills than a monk who doesen't use macros.
Anyway. That is my opinion.
