Sacred Soil + Shadow Flare

So i'm just wondering if the 2 skills are supposed to cancel each other out of if its broken.

If its working as intended can someone tell me the reason behind it? They are skills from 2 different jobs and are not related in anyway. One is a shield other a dot so why not let both be active.

I may be missing something so I thought I would ask.

Err, they're not from two different jobs. Shadow Flare is from Arcanist, which means SCH can totally use it.

but they cancel each other, you cannot use in same time

EDIT: If use by another player we can have few at once but I cannot have mine on the ground simultaneously, they cancel each other every time.

no they dont. you can do both at once

I have tested it several times. If I have Shadow Flare up and cast Sacred soil anywhere it will cancel Shadow Flare.

And yes sorry Shadow flare is from ACN and Sacred Soil is from SCH. One is still a class skill and the other a job skill.

So does anyone know if this is working as intended or should I bug report it?

I think you should report it. I keep getting kicked from parties because my Scholar doesn't have high enough DPS.

Your problem lies with the group asking a healer to do DPS. SCH is working as intended in terms of DPS-ing. We can have few dots ticking away on a boss and still heal efficiently (AOE not included >.<).

does it really? i've never noticed that's so strange

This is true, you can't have your Shadow Flare and Sacred Soil up at once, they cancel each other out. Whether it's a bug or not I can't say.
