Yeah, I always thought that was rather weird when people did that in their requests. They treat this like a 'single and looking' thread instead of an in game marriage/friend thing.
I mean, it's one thing if you want to role play the marriage and all that, but you don't need the other person to actually BE a Real life counterpart of their character for that. Though I suppose if you are voice chatting MAYBE it would be desirable.

Of course, I have no idea of those types of marriage posts actually attract anyone, but I will give them props for putting the desire out in the open to begin with instead of hiding it.

If I were to look at it with some reason, it's easier to play married with the gender you are attracted to. Also we definitely have to encourage people to post what they are truly looking for. Nothing is worse than getting blindsided by unknown expectations from a person. I for one give a 10/10 for anyone being honest about it.

Character Race: I am a miqo'te/ keeper of the moon. But i sometimes change my race if i get bored.
Preferred Race: I don't mind any race but highlander females are special.
Main class?: I am playing scholar right now, but plan on becoming a gunbreaker when new expansion releases. I don't mind changing class though if needed as i have pld, mnk, blm at lvl 50 and lvling up brd as well.
Dislikes: I'm pretty laid back really and I work in the hospital so it takes a lot to change my mood.
Goals for the game: I'd like to get at least each type to lvl 70 (tnk, dps, hlr). I also just want to enjoy the game and not rush when i don't want to.*
