Chocobo dyeing R&D Thread - Post your results here!

I followed the formula on the spreadsheet for Corpse Blue and ended up with Goobbue Grey. I'm disappointed but an attempt to fix isn't in my budget right now.

MY white chocobo was produced by feeding a lot of valfruit, followed by a lot of pineapple, followed by a lot of plums, followed by a few more of each to finish it out.

Perhaps in time I will experiment with black, but I bet someone will get it before that.

So I experimented before reading much about how the color crap works. I gave my chocobo 4 Doman Plums and 3 O'Ghomoro Berries in the 6 hr period and got Sylph Green.

I fed my chocobo 1 Xelphatol Apple, 1 O'Ghomoro Berry, and 4 Mamook Pear to get Mole Brown. Sorry, but I didn't track how many feather change messages I got on that one. But I figured I would try to add green from purple, since red and blue makes purple. That got me to mole brown.

That is what I was thinking too. OR, maybe I need a feather change message per each color of fruit? Not real sure. Sry, double post.

What do you guys think I should do to get black? Just try to get a feather message for each darkening fruit?

Honestly, I'd take this color over Soot Black. Then again, Soot Black might go better with the Sleipner barding.

Ignore the doc, we already know it's wrong. Amount of fruits is not how it works. Two people may feed same and get different results. It's about the changing feathers message which indicate success in color taking/changing, but still working on the specifics.

Lime green: Mamook Pear x7, O'Ghomoro Berry x2
