I'm a little late to some endgame content, such as Alex Normal. I've been dragging my feet with any sort of raid content because raid grinders have notoriously bad attitudes. Thanks to some prodding from FC members Im finally doing Alex and I'm enjoying getting the gear, when RNGesus is with me.

The story: I recently farmed A3 for a fair while and there's a recurring problem with people lately that makes me have to hold my breath and count to ten. Tank shouldn't have to chase your tethered butt, and tank should most definitely not have to get tether successfully only to have a spazzy lala take it back Q_Q Idk why it's such a pet peeve I should be happy to let deeps die for actively sabotaging me but pfew

Unrelated to any particular story I havent gathered the courage to do A4 yet. It's reputation is doing a good job at scaring me off

Gear + iLevel =/= Skill. You've said it yourself that he is at i170 on ex roulette with at least one player 30 iLevels higher, on Defiance and is using cyclone/op, so he must have been fighting crazy for that enmity rather than deliberately letting it slip towards you just because you peeled it off him.
This is a game mechanic/design issue, so your frustration is misplaced.

If you don't want the slightest possibility of "wasting time with runs like this", find your own tank to queue with.

Just had a titan run for my leveling roulette tank proceeds to remove all their gear and only have on lvl 1 accessories they couldn't hold hate they didn't even use grit after wiping 4 times they put their gear back on but the healer was not happy with them and let them die so we ended up doing titan without a tank

I did Ifrit normal mode for my alt, everything went fine.
The ninja even goaded me! I was so happy that I could sprint forever.:)

I was the healer. :o

Void Ark. My party had a warrior (a friend of mine), the others had dark knights. The warrior pulled the first boss, and mid fight one of the dark knights complained about a warrior being the MT. So many thoughts rushed through my head, I writ one of them down: "yeah, because a tank shouldn't tank anything!". Unfortunately the dark knight didn't understand my sarcasm :( Then they said some shit like "the warrior has a DPS stance" as an argument why a warrior should be the offtank. Oh, and the other tank jobs don't? And seriously, if this dark knight wanted to MT so bady, why did they not pull the boss or take it away from the warrior?

Best thing was, at the final boss the dark knight managed to grab the boss away from our tank - and five seconds later they got petrified.

I think the worst run I've ever had of anything in the DF was Haukke Manor... it was pre-HW and I was running as a level 50 WHM helping my bf level lancer. The warrior tank decided that he wanted to pull everything from start of dungeon to boss room to do a speed run, and so everything was chaotic. Tank was dying and I got caught in an aoe that prevented me from casting because there were aoe's everywhere... and when we all wiped, I was automatically blamed and called a mediocre healer for not "spamming cures". That was the first time the DF ever failed me with a bad tank and I still think about that run every time I play a healer in Haukke. -_-

It was really fun run, we explained bosses to him and talked most of the run about how beautiful dungeon is and that we hate bees :D He was grateful for explanations and I gave him my com for trying his best ^^

currently in a void ark where we wiped on port ventilation room due to people not killing knots and standing on the short circuiting pads
