Leviathan's not so bad. It has its share of jerks, but there are also plenty of decent and helpful people. I happened to get lucky enough to find an FC with plenty of pretty cool people. Slightly crazy, but that's part of the fun, right?

Oh, don't get me wrong. My two main characters (soon to be three when Rogue and Ninja drops) are on Leviathan, and I have no intention of transferring them. I'm in an FC of awesome people too.

It's just that:

1.It'd be nice to play on a server other than Levi for a change.

2. I want to experiment with different races and play styles. For instance, my new Lalafell on Jenova is mostly going to be focused on crafting and tanking, as opposed to my mains who are purely DPS.

3. It's something for me to do to pass the time between patches and wait for my other character's Rested XP and Leve Allowances to recharge.

4. A chance to meet a lot of the awesome people in this topic in-game. :)

Edit: Freaking character limit. >_<

Anyway, speaking of #4, how is Masamune server? Since it's a Japanese server and I'm purely an English speaker, is there any particular conduct I need to worry about? Or can I find an English-speaking FC somewhere?

I can answer that for you,

Masamune has jps on it, but thinking of the server in those terms isn't a good thing. The server itself isn't good or bad. DR however is where you will find your trouble makers. As for english speaking FC. I have a hunch the majority are on Tonberry.

Aegis is the same: Many English companies, but in duty finder, I find most English speaking players come from Tonberry :)

Yes I agree, I'd love the national clothing options to be available. I particularly like the Ul'dahn garb: It looks great on the male Miqo'te in Forgotten Springs.

So, I don't normally draw or paint people. I love to paint and draw animals, or landscape, or abstract... It's a hobby and stress relief for me. Digital stuff is also new - I have a lot of programs via being a student and teacher, but I don't know how to use them effectively. So, basically every time I use them, it is like a experiment! I give myself 30 minutes to create and tinker, and it's kind of like therapy. With all the threads about drawing your character etc, I decided to give it a crack by drawing my own character! Here's the results!

I do not have the pillow or broom, apkallu, other grand company minions - was going to wait until they release more ranks etc. But turns out it is a good thing I waited, with only 15 days per transfer after patch! Oh, I also don't have a few of the veteran rewards ones, I think. I pay monthly /shame
