Monk 3.0 CHAKRA UNLEASHED

Question guys: Iv'e been using Ossoms opener, and the only downside im seeing is that by the time I use FC our DRG's Battle Litany buff has already worn off. Im not an expert on DRG, but since she has been weaving it at the early GCD's and Ossoms opener delays the buffs by like 4 or 5 GCD's Battle Litany has not been lining up real good on my opener. So do other Ossom opener users experience this or is it my statics DRG?

Been very adamant in saying each opener that i posted are very identical. The peaks of damage may differ by a small margin. As far as i'm concerned the old opener is still good as i tested it with the other proposed opener and the whole point of the opener is getting to gl3 and not losing it anyway.

I would suggest moving some of your ogcd around so you unleash FC earlier. I do however know most drg will use BL at the start of the fight. So yes, you would definitely miss the buff if you put off your FC later in the opener.

Either you move your ogcd around and sacrifice some of skills not getting the BL buff or talk to your drg moving BL a lil later but thats not very optimal.

This is why the old opener is still nice since you pop cds a lil earlier to align with other party buffs.

No problem. Im currently doing night shift at work so im awake haha. I doubt very much she can move BL in her rotation. Playing drg too and that rotation is tight. And wont be optimal for the rest of the party too most likely

Yep thats what im thinking since our BRD is doing pre pull buffs, he is going to be affected by alot if BL is late. Just downed A3S last night so needing all the dps I can get for A4S.

The biggest issue with aligning Battle Litany with Monk is that it's taking away from the rest of the group. Bard, Ninja, Black Mage and Dragoon are all fairly front heavy. Battle Litany and Trick Attack overlap decently as well.

And just for the Dragoon themselves, they want battle Litany (and Internal Release) to fall off before Full Thrust in the opener because it's a forced critical hit and devalues both of those buffs if they're still up for it.

I'd assume Machinist is front too, but I'm not well versed with how the class plays.

Typical MCH opener has 3 GCDs (technically 2 if they can time Hot Shot on pull) before Wildfire is applied, then there's a 15 second window before it detonates - having litany up for everything inside that window would be optimal for them. I don't know much about DRG post-2.55, but considering the buff lasts 20s and they probably get a GCD or 2 in before buffing it (I imagine?) then it actually lines up perfectly with MCH opener. Extremely frontloaded at the start.

On the topic of MNK, I agree that it's nowhere near worth DRG applying BL later just to satisfy one move for one job.

Yeah move Forbidden Chakra if you want to get it under BL. The only reason I put Forbidden Chakra last is because its good to get your skills on CD as fast as possible.

The way I see it, Elixer drive is your strongs oGCD so that should go down first, Then Howling/Steel Peak, Then Shoulder, then Forbidden since it doesn't have a CD. But if you're missing a buff you want under FC then it might be worth moving it around.

I doubt it would hurt anything, especially if you swap it with Shoulder Tackle or Howling Fists, (Since you might be saving Howling Fists for a multitarget hit anyways the next time its up).

Push every oGCD one spot back, and put FC in the spot that elixir would take or elixir and then FC. This should align with BL and even trick attack if you ever get a ninja.

Ill try pushing all ogcds back by 1 GCD tonight, exchange FC and shoulder tackle spots (since shoulder tackle has the least potency of the Ogcds). Hopefully that should do the trick.
