You're not looking too hard. There was an auction of "slaves for your pleasure", not too long ago. The wording is lightish...but we know what it means.
Many, if not all link to external sites and Discords. You're one hop away from the smokescreen of "it's not there" In Party finder right this moment there's an ad pointing to a webpage that lists:

"ERP
150,000 per hour"

the statement of "if this happened on crystal you would absolutely see hundreds of bards in a singular location playing "do you hear the people sing" from le mis, all slightly out of time and on different instruments, with at least one guy playing careless whisper while people let off their flashiest AOEs accompanies by paragraphs of roleplay text" was made to me once and honestly i'm a little disappointed we probably won't get to see that because, yeah, that tracks for crystal LMAO

we are, that's the whole point.

that's why we're trying to have spaces that are intended for adults, out of consideration for the children, so adults can be adults and talk about adult things without children/teens there. adults talking about adult things =/= nasty roleplay brothels 24/7. most of my real life friend circles are adults because we want to be able to talk about adult things if they happen to come up in the course of conversation, and sometimes you just want that same vibe in a game. it's why loads of FCs and other social circles are 18+. i dont want to have to worry if my conversation turns to something potentially inappropriate for children because there are no children.

This. My discord servers and communities are all 21+. All but one don't even have NSFW channels. We're not locking out kids to protect their innocence, we literally just do not want to have to perform parental duties or be constantly censoring ourselves as an example. When I log on I want to breathe and relax.

Again, I'm not talking about RMT/account sharing, I'm only talking about what the PF advertisement displays. What you are able to deduce from those entries is irrelevant since GMs are not (and should not be) taking actions based on mere deductions.

I'm not defending anything. I'm looking at what a GM allegedly stated and, if they're correct, what it means for PF listings that do not explicitly says there is RMT/account sharing going on. (And on that note, does letting someone else play your character for one fight counts as account sharing?)

If I see several ads for the selfsame 'commerce' group then it is considered as spam, and arguably the use of spam to send unsolicited advertisements could be interpreted as being against the terms of service clause for harassment. That is just how vaguely written the clauses are. That being said, selling the services in exchange for Gil wouldn't be. Although you could still make the argument that it still does under clauses 2.3, 2.8, and 3.9 anyway, again, just by how vaguely written they are.

Yes having someone play your character for 1 fight would constitute account sharing because to feasibly do such you are required to provide them with your account details so that they may log in to your character.

That being said, what you've said does highlight quite a glaring issue surround this, and that is, they are very limited in what sources can be cited, and used as a reference when banning someone. As the whole activity surrounding runs is generally done entirely outside of the game so you'd be largely impeded on your ability to investigate which is an utter shame considering how a lot of people view the whole situation of selling and buying content.

Is there a final verdict on this? I know there was a streamer who was in Jail for RP Venue and they asked to speak to a Senior GM on the matter and that GM just issued a warning and booted them out of the jail lol. So ? . Is this only Primal Data Center ? I'd imagine if this hit Crystal this would have been at 1k posts already but its not so it must only be effecting a certain group.

Exactly. If what the GM says is correct, and there is no actual violation in selling such a service (presumably for in-game gil regardless of what may be the case, but I'll have to look at those mentioned clauses), then it might start to make sense for me why they allow these advertisements, well, outside of the false categories, which I think should not be allowed either.

The guy who was banned in question was outright advertising for ERP. There's a pinned post on r/sh*tpostxiv about it, and the exact conversation he had with the GM. This "fishing buddy" nonsense, is a joke.

Private means no advertising. Get out of the public.
