I just opened a ticket also. Demon, does your receipt actually say "NA" in the title of game? If so, GMG have definitely screwed up. If not, your IP address may not be considered to be North America according to GMG's website. (This is how they "determine" which region you should fit into). If you didn't explicitly buy the NA version, I would be asking for store credit and then repurchasing again with that in mind. However you will have to pay slightly more because they no longer have a 25% discount, only a 20% discount (code is on the home page).
EDIT: never mind. Wow you got lucky Demon, a full credit.... the other guy only got store credit... and I didn't get any response yet.... I would NOT buy from GMG, just go straight to Amazon. At least they have good cancellation policies.
Well, I'm sick to death of having to wait for this rubbish. If someone has an RAAE and needs an RAAU, reply and we can affect a trade somehow.

Well, heres what I did. Traded early access codes, canceled my order, and now I'm just gonna get the retail code from Gamestop. I think I learned my lesson about digital downloads... especially with Square Enix and the nightmare they call support.
After three days of struggling with the region code mismatch (PC, am NA but received EU code), trying every combination of work-arounds and other computers, I made it through to live chat support today.
It took a while, and they collected a bunch of information (email, where I bought from, etc) to validate my request, but in the end provided me with a new and working early access key.
So - there's still time before early access, it's worth trying to get through and get your key. Their hours are 9-6pm pacific time. We shouldn't have to do this of course, but I'd rather be playing than spending all day annoyed tomorrow.
Opening an email ticket did not help at all. first ticket somehow made it to EU support, and they took 30 hours to answer. Second ticket is still open after 24 hours - I'm going to close it now.
What's the website to their live support information? i saw one for FFXI
Yo Eder! Yeah, I'm in the Philippines right now, so I'm sure they did not give me an NA game, thus my retail game will probably be EU. Refund I think was the way to go. I don't care about the 25% discount anymore. A few dollars is not worth the hassle! I'm now going to wait for them to refund in the bank, then I'm going to buy two copies of the Amazon one.
Now I feel bad that I cancelled the preorder. I hope there's a way for me to reorder the same copy that gave me the early access code I've already registered in my SQEX account.
I'm surprised you were able to buy from Amazon from outside the US, unless you have a US address. Anyway, I don't think you have to worry about using up the pre-access code from Amazon, it's only valid for 1 week anyway. What matters is getting the correct code for retail.
Just got off the live chat and they just replaced my code with no issues. Hopefully we don't run into similar issues down the road when we go through the billing process. I really don't want exchange rate charges on my credit card.

Just spent two hours on hold with live chat only to be disconnected because there were no available agents... Back in I go. I have EU if someone wants to trade me their NA code.
I have heard rumors that we will need to enter an additional code by August 30 in order to continue playing, so I asked the live chat agent whether the new key was a one-time fix, or if I would run into problems again. He confirmed it was a one-time error, so hopefully it is indeed resolved.
I have both a U.S. address and a PH address. Amazon allows delivery to South East Asia, as long as you can put up with the shipping costs, the wait, and the anxiety that it doesn't get stolen or disappear while in transit. Thankfully, buying a digital game is very easy.
don't believe them until you actually see visible proof with everyone who bought the game that the problem is resolved. tens of thousands of players can't get their proper codes and SE has done nothing to fix this error so it most definitely is NOT resolved by a long shot.

i love how on their twitter page they say that they fixed the issue, but in reality they didn't fix ANYTHING...... everyone is still getting the same broken eu codes when they ask for NA codes. SE needs to get off their ass, do a REAL fix and stop trying to lie to us and tell us the fixed something when really all they have been doing is sittin on their asses counting our hard earned money we paid.... seriously considering demanding my money back from them

I really dont get why they have to lock the code to a region. The account itself is already locked to region - why lock the EA code too? Are they trying to control the ratio of EU to US in early access?
This must be the fix from earlier in the week when PC codes were being given out for the wrong region. A lot of people got a second PC early access code for the correct region, using the same 18-digit pre-order code.
Still giving me the same invalid PS3 early access code...

no, SE is nothin but a sack of liars or atleast they proved that today..... they didn't fix anything at all. this is just a way for them to try to make themselves look like they actually did some work (they didn't, they just farted around) and to look good in the public light. They dont' care about us gamers when it comes to the issues we are facing with their product. it's just like 1.0 all over again except 1.0 HAD A BETTER LAUNCH... truly pathetic SE.....

I dont see why they dont just disable the region check on EA code. Seems like it would be easier than having so many people tying up the chat lines.
One good thing to come of this - I can now say I am able to memorize an 18 digit password.
Guys, my friend that was having problems said that he received in one email both US and EU key. I think it is solved, at least for him, anyone could confirm?
SE isn't solving anything.... nothing works and so far i can confidently say that they have completely 100% failed us PAYING customers, especially when it comes to customer support. This is inexcusable and pure BS.... I didn't pay hard earned money just to get screwed like they are doing to us now. They are even lying on twitter saying they fixed it for everyone but in reality they didn't even touch a single thing on that site or in their system to fix the problem. I'm actually starting to miss 1.0 now for the simple fact that atleast they had a more successful launch and knew how to give PROPER CODES back then... truly pathetic SE.....
I'm still having this problem myself. I've got an EU key and need an NA key and Square seems to have just forgotten about my ticket.
Looks as though early access is not as inevitable as I though it would be.

well something is screwed up because i have a na account and i used an eu code and it worked fine for me
