Easily done with a script :) You won't really see any performance benefits though, just looks nicer being full screen
Right now I'm getting between 4.5k to 7.5k based on a few tweaks to resolution and ambient occlusion. On the settings I'll be playing on(everything on max save ambient occlusion and res at native 1600x900), I consistently get around 5.5k, which looks pretty great, especially since all I'm running is a Phenom II X4, a GTX460 and 4 gigs of ram.
I'm pretty satisfied. Also damn is it pretty.

Could be a multitude of reason really. I personally think you have a very powerful gaming laptop.
Few things you could check out:
1. Power settings: under control panel, click "power options" make sure you are on "full performance". You can also take the power settings a bit further and tweak them more if you like, but checking the box should be all you need. I suggest this because newer computers and newer hardware have better power saving features than they used to. When the power options are set to anything other than "full performance", you aren't really running your hardware to its potential, its going to be limited to save power, thus giving you less performance...whether it be a few CPU multipliers, PCI-E limitations...just enabling this, in itself can make a difference.
2. Drivers: Do you have the most recent drivers for your laptop? Drivers are released all the time, sometimes many years after a product's initial launch. They can include performance increases as well as bug fixes....def something to look into.
3. VIDEO card drivers: This is a big one. You have a newer card, and for that reason not everything you throw at your card will work to its full potential. It takes a while for drivers to catch up, and smooth things out on the performance side. That being said, always update your video card drivers to the very latest version to ensure maximum performance. The most recent version, as today is 314.07.. http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us
4. Direct X: Make sure your Direct X is up to date. http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/downl...ils.aspx?id=35
This should fix your score/performance. I don't see why you can't score as high as the desktop with the hardware that you have.
4500 with my rig, it's a shame it doesn't properly do SLI or I'm sure I'd do much better.

Running on battery, this may have made an impact. But I'm happy considering 670s are only scoring about 300 higher.
I have my Desktop detuned atm, if I cranked it up to 4.2Ghz which is my max stable and turned off background apps I could maybe pull another 200 points but then it wouldn't be a real world test.
Seems like the Benchmark is very GPU heavy hearing the score variations from people.
All in all it looks great, runs smooth and I can't wait to jump into beta to see how everything functions. That is if they fix the screwup with the damn Comcast block issue and I actually get a Beta pass :(
If I run on maximum settings at max resolution, I get around 2900.
If I run on maximum settings at my preferred resolution of 1600x900, I get just around 3900.
This is my preferred settings result:

I'm happy with my score!!
Ran two. One on 1920x1080 (which I don't plan playingon but was curious)I got 3285
Second go was 1280x768 which is what I plan to run it on and I got 6013 with the i7 3770, GTX 555, 8 gig RAM DDR3.
Everything set on maximum.

Running dual 7970's but turned off crossfire for the bench since it just lowers results. This game isn't anywhere setup to take advantage of high end hardware atleast that's what I see for amd gear my graphics card never got over 75% load and that was with crossfire turned off and all settings at max. If I could atleast run the bench in fullscreen then crossfire might benefit some but since it's windowed and directx 9 it won't use crossfire or sli at all so best to just turn off. Also my processor never went above 35% load as well.

One thing that you may want to check: my laptop, by default, was running the benchmark on my integrated graphics chip for some reason (Intel HD 4000), instead of the nVidia GPU that it also has (confirmed by GPU activity monitoring during the test). Setting the nVidia GPU as the "Preferred graphics processor" in the nVidia control panel fixed the issue, and caused my score to jump from 2100 to 5200. If you're getting far lower performance than you feel like you ought to based on your performance with similar games, try checking for that.
Honestly, if anything, I'm impressed that the game ran as well as it did on that HD 4000, LOL.
