The second idea was independent of the first. If you can only win one coffer per week, even if it's been opened, then more players will have the opportunity to get it, rather than these people who think they legitimately NEED 8 coffers so they can outfit their retainers, squadron, and put it in their glamor dresser in every color...

the 2B and 9S Pods. I wish we could pat them just the same!

Because there is literally zero need for another one. It's iLevel 1 Glamour, so not suited to equip retainers. Having it once is enough to glamour it on yourself, your retainer, and squadron. And it can be died on different glamour plates even if you have just one.

It's a technical thing. While minions and mounts are checked with your minion and mount catalogue, the 2B items are just items. Even if they're unique, the game will think you don't have them if they're stored somewhere else than your inventory. And they may not even consider the items in your inventory because the item being on rotation is not the clothes per se but the coffer that disappears the moment you use it.


Unless they implement a transmog system that works like the minion or mount table, there's no way for the game to tell if the player has the 2B glamour set or not.


Another sugestion would be to make it an achievement reward. So everyone who did the dungeon and got an achievement could get one coffer, for example. Probably emptying the raid after a week or two though.

Tbh, I'm shocked this has blown up as big as it has. A fart in the wind I thought as I made the post. "Nobody will care ultimately." Intriguing to see I am wrong, even if there's a few who didn't read or are a lil slow claiming I wanted it for no effort despite saying I'd even be happy with a token system but it's still the internet, you'll get those with very short attention spans who only read the title or a few words :P

To everyone else though congrats for at least partaking in a discussion, yes even those that still disagree but at least tried to explain why vs making blind assumptions.

Note, I have not one a coffer yet. Plagued by people who spend most of the raid dead winning it. Oh well.

I wish they would add the outfit and charge 10 coins for it. That way people such as my self who roll horribly on stuff can eventually get the outfit. I saw people rolling for stuff they already had and when I talked to them, they said they were rolling on it again as they though it was a different outfit because it offered it to them again. Hopefully they will fix it... and in the off chance they actually use my idea of coins for purchase, I'm saving mine.

You can dye it different colors on different plates in the glamour dresser without needing multiples of the same item.

Yes, but if you delete the item from the plate, the dye goes with it. And you can't have it on more than 1 plate without redying it if you want the color.

I have this problem currently with the eastern schoolgirls ribbon.

What if you lose it by accident? You can't accidentally lose a mount or minion after opening it cause it's with you forever, you CAN accidentally toss glam. If it was an achievement you could unlock by having it on and speaking to someone then great, you could just rebuy with gil if something bad happens or if you need more copies. That's not the case though..

What if you want a pure white 2P version and a jet black version? What makes more sense, using just 5 more of you 400 dresser slots for an extra version dyed jet black ooooor basically devoting 1 of your only 15 glam plates to a jet black version without ever being able to change it cause once you do that dye is gone? Dying a full set jet black or pure white can easily run you up to 2mill, which is why I save them when I get them as returns for a case like this. Rare dyes are a thing and if you can avoid having to buy them over and over it makes sense to do that. And glam plates are stupid valuable, I'm already in a situation where I'm sitting on one cause I accidentally turned in the source version and it's gonna cost 200K to get a new chest to put in the dresser.

This is legit how lots of things in this game are handled ... event gear that you can only get for a limited time allows you to rebuy them after unlocking them, you can get gear drops and put lots of the same version into the dresser if you want, you can REBUY (with rl money...) stuff off the mogstation.

Why would they EVER make this 1 outfit a once-and-never-again roll win? Just cause you want a better chance at winning 1 of the 3 guaranteed coffers and don't like the thought of having to roll vs maybe 23 other people more than a few days after release?

My point still stands about the rest of the community that happily makes anything they shove into the cash store a success. My apologies if you felt personally attacked by this despite its irrelevance to your situation.

For all those that say that they need different color gramours, you can have diffentent colors on different glamour plates

If that is not enough and you want to spend another item slot on same glamour item with different color then if they implement the achivement so people cant roll need again the Calamity Salvager NPC is the one that can sell you for a little gil another item.

Or, if SE want people to keep running it for multiple coffers, then the achivement could prevent you to roll for need but can roll greed, so people that dont have it yet can roll first

From my understanding this isn't possible. There are 3 coffers and if you rolled a 98 then you would get one. Only a 99 would beat you and there can't be two rolls of the same value.

When you roll a 98 that number if taken out of the pool of possible numbers. No one had rolled a 98 before you rolled and anyone rolling after you can't roll a 98.

I lost twice on rolls of 99 and three others rolls in the 90s, then won it on a 58. RNG is random.

someone rolled higher on that coffer, they all have their own 99 rolls?

I got mine after running the raid for a total of 6 times so I consider myself lucky. Can't wait to do this all over again if they release a 9S glam with the next raid /s

It’s on the loot table? I thought it was a quest reward as the coffer for it was in my inventory after the very first time I did the raid, guess I should feel lucky

That is strange. Are you sure you selected Need and rolled a 99? And that your inventory was not full? And that you didn’t leave the instance before everyone else rolled?

I am pretty sure I have never lost a Need roll when I rolled a 99, had inventory slots, and didn’t exit the instance too quickly.

Has anyone else rolled Need, gotten a 99, had inventory slots, waited for everyone else to roll on the item, and not won the item?

I always assumed each Alliance had it's own chance of rolling a 99. At least on those. Release day I rolled a 97 and lost. I got mine today though. The dress looks weird on gray skin. XD

RNG God: Oh I felt bad for you after that 99, so I moved you further up in the queue <3

I have never heard of nor seen a 100, so far as I know it's 1-99 and it's 24 people picking 24 different numbers. If I had to guess I'd say that's a case of someone pressing greed over need and having their 99 greed kicked by the highest need.

That or a case of misreading a 89 or something as a 99.

Some time ago, someone made a table with probabilities for winning loot. According to that, there is a rare possibility that two people tie and roll the same number (even 99 both), but it's not clear yet which one of those gets the loot then.
