Lalafell > all
I'm still gonna call anyone who plays a male bunny a Viera Sausage.
Okay how about this one clan is the opposite of the Au Ra and the other is like the hyur where the only real difference is height and one goes to the gym more in that the 2nd clan is both are same height but they're much shorter than the 1st. They would be taller than lalafells but shorter than the next shortest female we have now. The height different ones would be like the XII ones and the shorter clan would be FFT style. I know it's most likely not going to happen but I think that's the closest SE would get to making most happy. Not that it wouldn't stop some frome complaining because it wasn't exactly how they wanted them. And yes I'm fully aware that they already have them designed and that I really just have to wait til the sneak peak happens and hope that our hearts don't get broken too much.
Id like the variety, but frankly, theyll just be recolors of each other. Im generally happy with a lot of what SE does broadly, but when it comes to character and race differentiation, I dont see them spending more than a few days doing some basic iterations before they copy paste one and slap on some different colors and call it a new separate thing.
I can dream though.
I do hope we get some real changes from the 2 clans. Only Hyur have real differences, Miqo'te have tiny differences that are negligible at best and all the others are basically recolors.
if male viera if manly furry like ronso I will change
Otherwise I will RP as balthier lalafell with the 90% of female vieras that will drop come SH.
do we have a picture of the male viera yet?
I do hope the idle stances and movement animations are good.
I mean look at the male Au Ra, they are so badass, big and wild looking yet their idle stance is some mamas-boy stance with the ir back straight and their heels together. Dont fit them at all. Running animation is cool at least.
Whether I change or not is dependent on what the Viera ultimately look like. If we get FF12 Viera with a male option], absolutely.... anything else, then no.
i actually had a stupid dream about the announcement (ffxiv get out of my head) the way i dreamt the announcement was that it started off showing the cute and small bunny like viera to a mixed reaction, and then it showed a normal looking tall viera walking up and posing next to them with the whole crowed going nuts.
i think i am too hype i need hype reduction.
honestly? not a chance. I won't drop my Au Ra for a bunny. This rabbit will be seen as food.
no will stay as I am no plans to change nothing worth changing to.
Any idea when the Bunny avatar trial program will become available? We were able to trial make Aura characters on PC well before the release of the xpac. One of my alt characters will definitely be getting a fantasia obviously based upon what they look like but I'm pretty optimistic they'll be something special.
I'm guessing april or may as it's supposed to drop early summer and that would be June. Or they could give us the benchmark late march after 4.5 part two comes out. Just have to see if they mention the benchmark in Feb.
Considering they have done concept art for Viera in the past and DID include male Viera, I'm going to assume that they will do so here too. (Viera was apparently the planned race for HW release but they changed it to draggos instead). I don't think they want to do any gender locked races, considering they went through the trouble to create male miqote as well. And I'm pretty sure, according to lore, male Viera DO exist since I recall reading that female Viera tend to fight with them often.
I might consider to switch, depending on how they look + their animations~
They're mostly referring to the FFXII lore, which will either be copy-pasted to FFXIV, or completely different.
I'm personally hoping for tall amazoness-esque females(in between elezen and roegadyn) like Fran and shorter than miqote but taller than lalafell males. Lore-wise it's kinda like 2B and 9S, the physically lacking is more superior in intelligence. Not forcing any Neir fandom in any way but considering this is the last race to be implemented, as YoshiP mentioned, then it is just right to do this to fill in the height gaps to counter Au Ra.
I'd personally change from my Maleqote to a male Viera if that happens, because I'd consider myself closer to that than Miqote.
I'm not. I like my Highlander. Being a ripped, buff dude who swings a big axe with an epic beard is my thing.
Plus, Viera are basically just hyurs with ears and a tail anyway, kind of like miqo'te. I think that's a bit boring.
Nah, Miqo'te for life.
Watch me give up on cuteness and change my race.
Seeing as I've been lobbying for male Viera forever, it'd be really hypocritical to say no. Granted, if they're tall, slender bunny men, it's a no-brainer; if they're shorter than miqo'te...I'll consider it for a few days in the benchmark and probably do it anyway lol
Nope. I like my kitten <3
I hope more than anything that the males are not shorter than the females, by default. The Au'Ra height difference was a huge turn off personally, not a fan of seeing that again.
Nope.
Duskwight for life.

Lion Race confirmed: The Rev
My character's name is literally pronounced "bunny" so regardless of which viera they choose to go with, small or tall, I'm gonna fantasia LOL
that being said, I'm interested to see how they decided to handle the "feet" issue. I wouldn't mind if they decided not to go with the original feet in the concept art since I know it's a ton of work, but if they did go through with it I'm super excited!
I'm also curious what the two options for viera will be; I saw a lot of people saying it'd be the original and the feol type?
I'm perfectly happy as a Miqo'te and will stay that way. I might possibly create a bunny retainer though.
Won't know till I can make one, and that also depends on their animations. I'd like something like female miqo'te, not too girly, sorta tomboyish. And let's not forget animated ears and tail as well, that's one of the main reasons I like miqo'te over Au Ra.
Hopefully it's tall. I was playing around with the races and realized that the average height of everyone outside highlanders, roes, and elezen. is like 5'5.
I figure my human character in this game if 5'9" I'm 5'9" in real life so I'm really cool with that. For my Blu Mage Alt I'm thinking of being something other than human, but I don't know about that Bunny Race. Could be cool if their at least average height.
But I'm no play boy gangster with a peace sign like Nixon, I see this race as the Playboy Bunny of the Call nothing I can do for that X-mas thrall. Let's Blue Mages be Elves the strongest and tallest Mages of them all. Let those Bunnies give birth to eggs, for Viera deserves to be, if at all, a Gangster Machinist, Gunner Blade, and the best would be Bards. Let's all laugh and play and be descendants of elves us Blue Mages, oh the day when the Red Mages go Full Chaos Mage and let's all play in PVP.
Blue Mage let's not just be Elves, let's be also Miqote's. Let our Friends and Rivals Red Mages/Chaos Magicians be Humans and Viera. And the battle rages on in PvP. I need to know more about PvP, but there should be just Mages and Healers fighting each other on that. Everyone else, the descendants of the greats like Tanks and other DPS advocate for your own on this Forum about PvP for Shadowbringer.
This game is my life.
What exactly are you trying to say here? I don't think I understood anything.
You don't need to start a new character to play other jobs - and for blue mage in particular, you won't be able to start the game with that class anyway. Despite beginning at level 1, you're going to need to complete ARR's main storyline before you can access it.
Not that there's anything wrong with starting an alt character if you want to (I have three!) but you don't have to.
It's worthwhile to play around in the character creator with each race/clan/gender combo and see which ones you can make into a design you really like. Don't just judge them by the default characters on the first "select race/gender" screen - they can all look so different once you play around with settings.
For the rest of your post though... I'm with Sturm. What are you trying to say? I really can't follow it.
(But if your post goes over the 3000-character limit, editing the post bypasses the limit - so just 'cut' all your text to the clipboard, post a short message saying "editing", straightaway click Edit and paste your actual post back in.
