This week is my week.

I realy dont understand why Hailstorm/Augmented Hailstorm Gear will work ??? it's Garuda's gear. Garuda=Wind... somebody can explain me ?
The hint is pretty clear deep freeze = ice gear and the only ice gear is Shiva....


here my thought :
Weapon - Shiva's augmented weapon
Chest - no idea but
Legs – Sky Pirate's Metalic sky blue dye (looks like ice)
Feet - All fur boots, werewolf, Highland boots
Wrist - Shiva bracelet

Hailstorm of healing/casting was Shiva related.
Perhaps you're thinking of the Slipstream set?

Could "classy" mean upper class? Maybe that refers to the Alpine Coat. If it's meant to be something out of the ordinary, Minfilia wore a Glacial Coat for a while. There are also the new crafted woolen shirts and we've already had a challenge where the latest expensive glamour gave a gold rating (Hannish Wool Autumn Shirt in the first challenge). Recently added glamours might count as "too cool" or "classy".

Yea i just looked on my server; Chinchilla and Blue Fox Hides have been cleared up and the other went up rather quickly to least 40k per piece. Thankfully I found some in my inventory that i MIGHT have some chance to craft these said items.

As for the suggestions - While I am going to lean towards the Shiva gear (which I dont have unfortunately), the hat and boots I was thinking the Highland Hood/Boots; and some have said the Glacial. Could be wrong but also the pants I will take a mild guess as well it being Sky Pirate Pants of Fending/Casting etc etc. I'm pretty clueless on the wrists for time being. I also agree with a few others saying that this might get old and people will wait to see what brings in the Gold, and soon no one will contribute enough it'd be a free for all almost. Hope it wouldn't be the case, so this is my first time I have an idea xD

only the hailstorm weapon would be locked (which is why I don't think it's the hailstorm chest). you can still get a PF together to grind out Shiva EX and get one of Shiva's Diamond weapons for your preferred class, as well as one of the bracelets.

Because fashion report isn't a one week thing.
They want each class to have their turn, while not making everyone able to get it.
It's not fun if everyone can get 100 each week. That'll make people lose interest fast.

In addition to "every class will get their shot": It allows them to use a lot more gear/guess and more variety. There isnt that much gear that absolutly every class has access to. Including gear thats class locked opens up the floor for a lot more options and making this less of "Okay, which of those two hats is it? Ah, nvm, I'll try both"

You also need to keep in mind that you can participate in this content and get a decent reward (up to 60k MGP aswell as auto-unlocking the new stuff at Kazumi's) without getting a perfect score.

Sooner or later every class will get a shot at 100 points - til then it seems very possible to get 80+ on basically every job.

Never underestimate how lazy people are. I am in a crafting FC and most of them ignored the fashion report, some just say 'oh I'll just wear whatever glam I have and report'

I try to advertise the correct combination in Novice Network on Friday so that those lazies who don't even bother opening up this forum or reddit, would take interest and drive the market. Otherwise, a lot of solo/dead FC players wouldn't even bother touching this.

keep in mind shiva weapons won't get full points as you can't dye them. Hailstorm will be the way to go.

There's enough "special gear" like primal gear, dugeon loot, trials loot where you can find stuff for all the classes... i realy think that is not a good idea to class lock this minigame

But you can do the upgrade on a Shiva weapon to enhance them. Since it effects them cosmetically, it may count the same as a dye.

This is me. Its not really worth the effort for me. I'll take my 10K mgp with no effort. if we ever have a week that I can get 80+ without having to go out of my way on most of the glam, then I'll do it. For me its more fun to read some of the theorycrafting in here.

Game doesn't rate on aesthetics. Deep down in the code, it's all just numbers. Upgrading just turns it into another item that can't be dyed.

Kinda agreeing that it's unlikely Shiva weapons. Unless scoring system turns out to be a little variable, if what worked last week holds true, it's better to look for what matches the pattern.

Which is also why this will likely always be "class locked" to a degree. Perfect rating needing that degree of precision and all.

I thought this my be the chance to get 100 (done and over with) and then I read up on going to the diadem for the possible sky pirate part. There apparently isn't a way to get in without a FC. I just might have to go for 80 or try to just get the materials and bug one of my friends to make it because I'm pretty sure the prices have already gone up on my server. I should just learn to check in earlier.

Apparently there is a chance for chinchilla hides to be gotten from one of the level 50 ventures (XI I think?) so that's a plus

You can queue for it solo - though it's a 'hidden queue' like Palace of the Dead that doesn't show up in the duty finder.

You need to speak to the organisers outside the airship landing in Ishgard. Buy a mission voucher from the quartermaster, then speak to the mission commander to register.

(I haven't tried it yet myself, though I heard the queue is pretty dead trying to get in this way - but hopefully will pick up this week!)

If you know of an FC with an airship that will let you use it, you can enter that way. You don't need to be a member of the FC.

You can just solo que for Diadem now. In ishgard. Just buy some ceruleum from the vendor and go.

Im using shiva stuff. The accessory wont be dyeable no matter what and its the same clue as the weapon. *shrugs*

Also i interpreted "cool" as like "keeping it cool for summer" but i can see the winter theme now, even though the skypirate caster shorts are are basically hotpants. Ill probably do alpine coat or adventurer sweater for top. Im going to try the wolf legs from the halloween event as the feet. Ill post my findings as soon as the judging starts.

Most pants on my server are selling for 300,000 (or less) on the AH if you can't get into the Diadem (but that could just be my server)

Do we know if HQ items affect the score? You can buy the Sky Pirate gear nq with brass spoils from the Spoils npcs.

It doesnt - NQ and HQ doesnt matter.
You can also buy the mats for them with red gathering scrips though - level 58, idleshire. They introduced that when they shut down Diadem.

Because you might be using glamours out of the dresser, which strips out the NQ/HQ information, they can't let that affect the rating. Otherwise it probably would.

Thats not the only reason - they're not only using stuff thats crafted, obviously. And dungeon-drops and tome-stone gear (and stuff like that in general) cant be HQ in the first place. Probably a lot easier to programm it just ignoring HQ/NQ instead of making exceptions if some gear is crafted this week.

I appreciate the information. I do have some neighbors I can pester but I went ahead and bought the pants. The healer pants were only 80k which is surprising. The sky pirate stuff normally goes for around 50-60. I checked some of the other stuff and the chinchilla hides are 50k, compared to near 300k for the dress material of the first week. I am still going to attempt to get in to the Diadem on Saturday just for the sheer fact I've never been there. Are cross world parties also possible?

Yes, but you may struggle for queues, to be honest. Diadem was almost dead on arrival, even when it was new. I would ask a few friends to come along with you to help you get aether currents (you have to get them to fly everytime you enter) and then they can leave and you can explore.

You don't need aether currents anymore in the new Diadem.

Don't bother with the Glacial Coat or Glacial Boots - 1 star and 3 stars.

Crafted Sky Pirate legs got 2 stars.

True Ice Bracelet and Cashmere Boots dyed snow white get a golden rating. Shiva's Diamond weapons and Sky Pirate's Bottoms don't.

Uncolored augmented hailstorm cane gives only 4 stars

Cashmere Boots give gold without any dyes so they look to be the correct feet.

I'm really surprised about sky pirate's pants... I'm wondering if they could possibly be the True Linen Breeches of Healing or Casting since there was a quest called Sky Pirates to get access to Void Ark...

I'm also wondering if it needs to be a specific Hailstorm weapon to get gold. It definitely wasn't WHM...

Has anyone been able to test which dyes work best?

I'm disappointed these challanges seem to be geared towards only certain jobs. I really don't want to unlock jobs I know I wont play. Guess i'll be skipping this week until some good alternatives come out or i'll have to settle for a lower score with a hailstorm weapon.

Well the hint was actually the pants Leofard (Dun Scaith Quests) was wearing. He was wearing the Aery striking pants whose dyeable version is the lvl 64 Kudzu Trousers of Striking.

And people are still experimenting atm, Snow White gives nothing while royal/ice blue seem to be the key.

I got two stars with an ice blue dye on the pants, meaning that isn't the exact colour but it's somewhere in that area.

Also Leofard, the sky pirate captain, wears those pants. I feel so baited...
