Relic: Your progress on the Grind.

Done today,

Just went by beasttribes and roulette.

Am I doing this right?

I took a break from working on my second Anima to wrap up an old unfinished Zeta (had to do the last two steps), which also let me farm up a set of crystals at the same time. I'm now prepared for two additional Awokens if I have an unexpected shift in focus.

I'm 25/80 on Anima #2 now, I think. Might be 24.

81/90 on my first Awoken. Tried to farm crystals for my second animated yesterday and leveled from 58 to 59 but not a single drop.

Make sure you have a Soul Without Life quest active, that seems to be required for the crystals to actually drop. I farmed for 2 or 3 days with no drops and almost gave up until I thought to activate the quest.

I have no idea how people are already working on a second one. These pieces are so annoying to get. Did hunts yesterday for the first time in like 9 months, only to realize it costs 1,000 seals for ONE single relic piece.

Hunts, roulettes, beast tribe quests. Most of mine have come from hunts, though. If you hunt actively (especially being on top of spawning the S ranks) it adds up fast. If you sit in town waiting for hunts to be called you'll likely find that it's sparse pickings.

Light has been nerfed many times now so is not all that bad last i heard. Are you doing it for glam purposes only?
Doing a Relic from Nexus or bellow is not really worth it tbh unless for glam :)

Done with unidentified items technically (need one more of the sahagin items that imma have tomorrow) so technically I'm done with those.

Didn't take too long, considering I only did daily roulettes and beast tribe quests. Other games from the Steam winter sale have been stealing my soul to bother dedicating myself more to XIV. :p

25/80 now but my big accomplishment has really been getting beast tribes done. Sahagins hit Friendly yesterday. Kobolds are maxed, Amaljaa almost there, and now it's time to play with the sylphs. (Did them last because I'm 10/10 on seeds, lol.)

Anima Components Acquired:

• Enchanted Rubber
• Fast-drying Carboncoat

Unidentified Artifacts Acquired:

• Unidentified Ore: 20/20
• Unidentified Seeds: 20/20

HQ Merchant Goods Acquired:

• Dispelling Arrow: 0/4
• -Blessed Fletchings: 4/4
• Kingcake: 0/4
• -Moogle Miniature: 4/4

I finally got all the artifacts, and stood around for about four [kupo] hours today shouting for 5 minutes of help from people. Managed to get the components for the real items and the Mirrors, but even though I'm so close I can taste it I can't get just that last little bit I need.

... can I go Kylo Ren in the Scholasticate yet?

I have all the unidentifiable items from doing roulettes and beast tribes. My problem is I am too poor to buy all the other HQ items, and my FC are mostly unable to make them so at a bit of a standstill at the minute T.T

I have the enchanted rubber and the fast drying carboncoat; now I just need 5 more A4N runs for the last seed and maybe a roulette for the last ore and I'll have my axe!!!

Well i am not at the point that i have all seeds, shell, etc.. But the HQ items on Leviathan last i checked are rather expensive. Someone in our FC it cost them over 5 mil i believe for all needed items.
There goes my housing fund..... :(

80/80 unidentified items..gonna have the crafted items in a few days or so with luck.

I think I've hit my roulette quota for the next ten years or so.

finished it today. Weapon generates so much damage its likely to get a blm killed in the process lol. Getting 7-8k criticall flares, fire 4.s are hitting for about 4.5k non crit and about 7.5k Critical. Very nice damage output on it, buts makes maintaining Enco. very very difficult.

I got mine finished this morning. Not actually taken it out for a test run yet so I should definitely do that! I just wanted the bragging rights of being the first in my FC to get it :p

Yeah, very expensive. Someone in my FC made me the Adamantite Francesca for free which was nice. I then gathered/crafted all the rest of the materials myself (got a friend to make the Moogle Miniature and made the Titanium Alloy Square and Blessed Fletchings) and put in PF that I would pay crafters to make them for me. Ended up costing me 300K (100K to each of the three crafters who helped me) which is a lot cheaper than the items go for on the mb. So my advice would be to get as many of the items yourself, assuming you have the appropriately levelled gatherers/crafters and then you shouldn't have to spend too much of your housing fund ^.^

I'm taking it very slow.

65/80 for the tokens and 12/16 for the HQ items (I need only the cake, too expensive atm).

I have done only my daily beast tribe quests and some Expert / Lvl 60 Roulette for the weekly cap.

Finished this past Wednesday, not doing this again any time soon.

I finished mine on Thursday. Honestly when I started the entire grind I was dreading it, but once I got into a good hunt linkshell and started running content with the people I was meeting it really made the whole thing go faster. That thrown in with a few roulettes and my beast tribe dailies, I was getting a couple items a day and what I thought would take months only took weeks. I feel accomplished. Congrats to all who got their Anima weapon before they nerf the crap out of the quest!

got it yesterday. I honestly don't get the hate against the relic I did nothing more than just the dailys that I did already anyway :D

Finished mine in the evening. Honestly the grind wasn't as bad in the- nah I'm lying, it still sucked. Certainly won't be going through that again anytime soon xD

I was a moron and actually got 4 of each HQ specialist anima mat (meaning I had 8 fletchings/alloy squares/straps/moogles crafted when I only really needed 4), so I suppose I'm already mostly set for my next weapon, if I decide to go through the grind again...

I'm gonna have finished mine as soon as more stuff in my retainer sells.

13 ore. Game isn't fun enough to validate logging in to finish this polished turd of filler content for a weapon that will be outdated when my static inevitably downs midas which is confirmed easier than gordias which we've cleared 2 months ago. I spent more time playing F2Ps for the past few months, which sadly, this game isn't any better than a F2p currently.

Still would rather wait on more sources of materials, like turning in manifestos from savage for like 3-5 of each item, but apparently creating the option to reward people more for doing something challenging, instead of easy, mind-numbing, and tedious chores is taboo. Between not doing that, and diadem, it's like they really don't want people doing savage or something.

Not sure if I'm more salty about the structure, timing, and contents of the relic quest, the reward in relation to effort, or the fact a sizable portion of the forum community happily defends a known misstep by the dev's standards from anyone who says 'SE messed up'.

Lol Reilyn I wouldn't bother criticizing the game on these forums, FFXIV has one of the most rabid white knight banbases I've ever seen. Any single criticism you make of the game design or content will be met with "UNSUB THEN" "STOP BEING SALTY" regardless of how well put together or how constructive your criticism actually is. And then if SE see you criticizing them they'll perm ban you like they did to my main char because they like the forums to be an echo chamber. Got perm banned in June last year for calling Squares handling of certain things incompetent.
