What is the canon story for Legacy (1.x) characters who did not get far enough in the original FFXIV to unlock the Legacy story in AAR?

We know that you had to destroy the lunar beacon in the original game in order to unlock the special 'Legacy' story in AAR. This leaves questions pertaining to the Legacy characters that didn't get that far in the original story, but still got the 'Crystal Beam-In' opening and the tattoo on the back of their neck in AAR. The game treats you as if you are a 2.0 character and came in on the carriage/boat, even though you didn't. I would like to know if there is anything official for those of us with 1.x characters who are stuck 'in-between' the "Warrior of Light" story and the 2.0 "New Adventurer" story.

Will we ever get a in game language similar to Al Bhed? Would be fun to run around collecting book tomes for translation like in FF10. Though I suppose the whole 'Echo makes you understand beyond the boundaries' would make it kinda moot.

With the inclusion of the Crystal Tower from FF3 and Golden Saucer from FF7, will this pave the way for future large inclusions from the other FF titles, not timed events like Lightning or Shantotto? More to the point, will there be any visits to or from Ivalice from FF Tactics? Having the Warriors of Light face off against the Zodiac Lucavi, or even St. Ajora, would be a neat story to see, especially with the Zodiac weapons.

How many Ascians does it take to screw in a light bulb?

How many Garlond Ironworks Engineers does it take to invent a light bulb?

Are linkshells ever used for more frivolous reasons, like an Eorzean version of broadcast radio?

Why is the Crystal Tower in Coerthas in the opening CG cutscene?

Will we learn more in-depth details on the culture of Sharlayan and perhaps visit the land someday or see it as it was in the past through the Echo?

Are Lalafell able to match the other races (Hyur, Roegadyn, Miqo'te, Elezen) physically in any way in terms of strength and prowess?

I would like to know more about this as well. Aside from the three main areas all having Central or Middle, Thanalan has North, East South and West. La Noscea has Upper = Northern (and Outer) Eastern, Lower = Southern, and Western. The Shroud has North, East and South...but no West. I would love to know what happened there.

When are going to have more lore regarding the five black Mage "Coco" brothers in Ul'dah? They are epic!

Was the armorer storyline supposed to be an allusion to the differences between Japanese and American workplace ethos? (That is, team mentality vs. performance of individuals as top priority?)

Will there be more stories and quests regarding Fourchenault? (Louisiox's son and the father to Alphinaud and Alisaie)

Will we see more lore regarding Ayatlan?

Will we have more riddle system of quests like the awesome "Greatest Story Never Told" that tie in deeper to the lore?

Will there eventually be lore surrounding Byregot's Spire in Sagoli Desert?

Is there a connection between Ether (the drink that restore MP) and Aether (the cosmic phenomenon that seems to be the key to magic, the primals, etc.)?

Was Mephina's sign modified after the creation of Dalamud by the Allagans to include her "Loyal Hound"? Have any of the other signs been modified for cultural or other reasons?

Are there any *non*-ruined Amdapori places still left in Eorzea, hidden by magic? Their lore is of HUGE interest to me, and I'm hoping that, if there are any places still around (whether or not they're hidden) that we'll see them soon, or at least hear of them! Even if "hey these old houses in Gridania were of Amdapor build" is the answer, I would be wholly satisfied.

What is the general size of the population of Eorzea? In other words, does Gridania have about 5,000, 50,000, or 500,000 living in it as compared to a more formal metropolis like Ul'dah with maybe a million?

Obviously there are graphical limits in what the game can generate NPC-wise (the Cartinaeu cutscene aside). It always seems that through quests and such we hear of the vast naval fleets of Limsa or the droves of refugees to Ul'dah...but we never actually see the teeming masses. Yet, in the botany quest line you have to get 99 crow feathers for the Wailers or "2,000" chamomile tea leaves for the Ul'dahns. That doesn't seem like a whole lot if you really think about it.

Perhaps there is a ratio that we can use? For every NPC we see should we presume there are x-hundred or y-thousand citizens we don't? Getting a true feel for the scope Eorzea would be great!

1. What sort of creatures lived around Doma? Were there Youkai and Yurei around there?

2. Rumor has it that the Garlean Emperor is dead. But his concept art is done, and we never saw him in-game yet. So what is happening in Garlemald?

3. In terms of lore who or what is the wandering minstrell? He seems to have godlike powers.

4. Will we ever see Scions like Minfilia or Alphinaud fight? And maybe Y'shtola's copy creating ability from 1.0?

5. Is it possible to visit other dimensions like how Lightning, Gilgamesh and Shantotto visited us? If yes, how would a portal to the world of Dissidia affect the aetheric flow?

6. Are there vampires in Eorzea?

Is there any connection between the Allagan Empire and the Ascians/Paragons?

There's a castle structure among the other buildings in the Floating city of Nym. Is it related to the Wanderers' Palace? Are those floating islands completely isolated despite theu use of blimps and other airships? There's what looks like toppled pillars in the fog below the floating city. Are there any other structures besides the ones on the floating islands there?

Will we get to learn more about the Ashcrown Consortium?

Will Travanchent return to the storyline? It seems like a confrontation with him could shed some light on the Asceans

Will we have a harder, better fight against Lahabrea or will we have to fight each of the Paragons?

I;m not sure if this fits here or in general. But Will Revenant's Toll be an instanced city state in 3.0?

In the "Gathering Light" fishing levequest there's a really interesting bit of flavour text;

"Glass is the lesser of the lenses used by the astrologians. The other resides in the mind--a poor thing in most men, too cracked and flawed to see much that is not murky. The few with the gift enter the Observatorium, and with the essence of marimo is that phrenic lens ground and furbished."

Assuming that this is genuine foresight, is the power in any way related to the Echo? Are we going to see it more in play in coming Ishgard-focused expansion?

can we choose a hometown for our characters? i'm tired of the U tribe calling me an outsider when my character's name indicates that i'm from the U tribe.

will ishgard ever become a part of the eorzean alliance? if so, can we join their grand company?

Are the life expectancies for each race different and if so what are the averages?

Okay so I know that most of The relics are supposed to be one of a kind (Stardust Rod, Gae Bolg and maybe the Omnilex are the ones I know are not) but I want to know if the weapons are supposed to eb one of a Kind and destroyed, why do the Jobmasters have them?...

Are the ones the Jobmasters (except A-Towa-Cant for obvious reasons) have replicas or are they just plain old weapons that just happen to look like the relics?

Will you tweak quests and holiday events to give nods to players in certain classes (Like someone who'd unlocked the Goldsmith class doing the Little Ladies' Day quests)

As shown in Praetorium, Nero tol Scaeva has a device on his wrist that lets him:

• Eavesdrop on linkshells.
• Communicate over the compromised linkshell (seems like the linkpearl must be within range).
• Block all linkshell communication. (Not unique to his device, though.)

Is he the only person from Garlemald to possess this kind of device?

If Nero tol Scaeva isn't the only person with this linkshell eavesdropping device, why wasn't this capability abused extensively by the Empire during their invasion attempts on Eorzea?

Since when does the side with compromised communications win a major battle?

There are a multitude of languages in Eorzea ranging from the Slyphs to the Padjal. Does Garlemald have its own language different from Eorzea's "common" language?

Will the Illuminate be more important to in future storylines?
