P.S.:
I already told you that the Japanese original of the third-party comment you base your assumptions on is blurry, indefinite, and worm-holed by a series of "perhaps", "maybe" "I think" and "something that sounds like".
Here, have a cup of warm milk with honey, little one. May help you stay alive once you are confronted with concrete facts.
that condescending talk don't make you look more intelligent ,
"think" "Maybe" "perhaps" all means is being tough about it.So its the perfect time to change that direction.
i "think" that "maybe" if "perhaps" they decide to do this im strongly against it.
Do i really have to post like that ?i am a gamer not a game designer or a journalist.
what is this kinder garden ?Stop reading between lines.
OP is still one sided and based upon pure speculation for something that devs THINK they MIGHT do. Thread needs to die.
Basically, yes. Reinhard's translation was not a translation, but a shortened overview of what was written. And based on something someone else wrote on 2ch. I already posted an accurate translation of what the 2ch guy originally wrote somewhere in this thread, and it is *by far* less definite than what DNA makes it look like.Quote:
So he's flipping out and I'm enjoying the ride over nothing concrete? lol sounds like the internet alright.
Depending on where the original came from it may already be too late. When they make statements the timeline that follows usually means it will already be implemented.
Jump as an example... also an example of an unbiased poll. Take notes DNO
then dont post here and move on with your life ?
Idc if is true or false i do not want this for all the reasons i explained before.
this is general discussion as far as i know and we discussing thins we do not want to see in the game .
have a beef with it ? then dont post and move on im sure thread will die soon after then .
people need to stop being Square Enix Police.
Zkieve, you don't get it. The passage DNA bases his rage on is originally a Japanese post posted on not-really-famous-for-reliability independent 2ch blog by an anonymous alleged reader of the Japanese Eorzea Tsuushin Interview. This reader *thinks* that he *may* have read something that *sounded like* *some sort of* restriction on how many crafting classes you can master to the utmost extreme, and even explicitly states that he is not sure about this. That's a few too many insecurities to rage in my opinion.Quote:

Weather i use capps or not in no way means im bugging out. But W/E i wont debate that cause its Off topic what is on topic is my points which you seem to agree with. i changed the OP i admitted it might not be true but SE IS thinking about it why can i Not disscuss it? It being limiting crafts in some way or form.
So you all are not even discussing the topic but picking on the op ,
if the topic was " are you ok with only 1 crafting class mastered per char? "
and then he put a disclaimer that was speculation you would behave ?
this community is unbelievable.
Doesnt matter if he worded it wrong, his fears are correct and timed perfectly, right at start.
title is still misleading and the votes are still one sided for many reasons
1) Most of the people that voted probably didn't come back to change their vote once you changed the OP
2) Only a handful of players actually use these forums and the majority are trolls and people who cause grief upon others.
I guess. But the thing is that DoH controls the economy (with DoL) and I think that in all fairness it would make sense to only master 1-2 crafts and not all. You could still level them all, repair the gears accordingly and make the standard recipes. Mastering the craft could entitle you to special crafts and or special group crafts so that the economy is better controlled.
Yes I understand that you would like it applied to DoW/M for the sake of fairness, which it could be if they make it so you can level any class and unlock all the jobs but can choose to master only 1-2 of them (always to option to unmaster so you don't have to reroll if you want to change mastery).
-.-/ Go on then.
Maybe I should start a poll on whether the pink chocobo-themed sportscars (according to a 2ch post available only to players who chose the name "Gay Ritchie") are an unfair advantage or not.
i don't normally get into these debates as they tend to end badly
but i would have to agree, with the people saying if DOH get limits then DoW/M need the same thing.
other wise its not really fair to people like me who like crafting and want to lvl it all.
i work hard lvling my crafts, its not always the funnest thing in the game, but its very rewarding in the end.
i don't want to see an end/limitation to (and dare i say it) my "content"
and no its not all i do. i have 2 50 DoWs as well. and i gather on a mule
but still in the end, telling the people that want to craft that they can't is not a fair deal... we were supose to be able to do it all if we so choose to do it, thats one of the major marketing ideas behind this game
I'm personally against restricting crafters to any kind of mastery/max/whatever in any number of crafts. If you have the time and desire to you should be able to master/max/whatever all crafts. If we must have a single mastery, please do not make it permanent, allow us to at least switch if need be down the line.
The first problem that came to mind was in regards to linkshells, specifically small ones. There are linkshells that prefer to be self sufficient and with the current system it is entirely possible. If they have a deficiency in any crafting class they can fill it either with new members or existing members taking the craft up themselves. If we were permanently limited to one mastery then if a linkshell has a deficiency in that mastery they are very limited in the ways they can fill in the gap. They must either find someone who has that mastery, someone who doesn't have a mastery and force them to take that one or have an existing member entirely re-roll a new character just to get that mastery. None of those options are very good ones. However if they allowed us to switch Mastery for whatever cost/inconvenience this would be less of a problem.
The other obvious issue is that adventurers cannot be self sufficient if they can only choose one mastery and the choice is permanent. Some people enjoy being able to do things on their own, on their own time.
Another issue is that some people, myself included, started leveling multiple crafts with the intention of eventually maxing them all. Had I known they were going to add a mastery in I would have just focused on one or two instead of leveling all of them. This is especially more of a problem for people with multiple 50's.
I'm personally against adding any restrictions as crafting classes are classes just like gathering and combat classes. They should not limit one in this manner if they have no intention of limiting the others. If they weren't classes it would be entirely different but they are. Just because XI did it doesn't mean XIV must too.
Not because some people disagree with you or the OP that it means they agree with everything SE pours out for them. It's just that some people can see the benefits of some changes and limitations while others like you and the OP just look at the bad side of something you have no idea how they plan it to be and just cry about it that it cuts their freedom of play instead. Some also see the bad sides of it and comes with contructive ideas which is a lot more useful to the dev than your whining.
Just playing devil's advocate here but if they are so self-sufficient, don't you think they could manage to have 6 members with each a different mastery? I don't think it's too hard to achieve seriously even for small linkshells.
And yes, if they put some sort of mastery specialization, it should come with an option to unmaster through a quest or at a cost so that you can change mastery and not have to reroll.
