No - it still produce 18 roots but that without seeds. Maybe having 5 bags of seeds decreased the amount of roots harvested? Not that I'd complain if that would be the case ...

Just a thought, has anyone thought about planting a king and a queen onion or some combination of the minions? It seems a little curious to me that all the minions are easy to get via intercrossing and most of them are "onions". Since there are no mistletoe seeds in the game perhaps a king and queen onion kissing makes sense (under the mistletoe). I'll try something similar to this myself.

Krakka grew first and harvested them yesterday. Then harvested the rest today. 6 Midland Basil seeds and 1 Tantalplant seed.

At this point, I'm just going to use G3 Shroud for choco food intercrossing. Due to the randomness of getting choco seeds vs. normal seeds, I'd rather have a chance at 5+ second tier choco seeds than use precious G3 Thanalan for crap seeds. And if it doesn't intercross, at least I'll have more Krakka/etc. to distribute to my FC.

Edit: Also, Curiel Root + Krakka = Gysahl Green seeds. I forgot to take a screenshot of it so take it how you want.

I planted 3 krakka root seeds with la noscea grade 3 soil - harvested 10 krakka root from each of the plants.

I've also planted Linseed (Flax) with Mandrake in grade 3 thanalan soil - it still yields Azeyma Rose seeds. I got seven of them - planted clockwise from top left slot number 1 without anything in slot 8 - so 7 seeds was what I hoped to see.

I'm trying Azeyma Rose and Chamomile now - theses should lead to Halone Gerbera. I am trying to verify that broombush cross breeding from starting still works.

On the topic of multiple seed types, this was possible even before patch 2.3. If you've ever tried planting Prickly Pineapple with anything outside the Glazenut path, you typically got multiple seeds. I remember trying to get Azeyma Rose seeds with Pineapple + Almond and getting like 4 different seeds, though one of them was Azeyma Rose. Prickly Pineapple was a (terrible) wildcard.

Chocobo feed seem to be different, where every combination will yield at least 2 seed types. If that is the case, our goal is to find the combinations that have the highest average yield of the seed we're looking for. For example, it seems like there are already multiple posts on Krakka + Mirror Apple = Curiel reporting painfully low yields. We can rule out that combination as a viable option and opt instead for the already confirmed Krakka + Chamomile, which seems to be roughly 50%.

I got 5/8. *shrug* Either way, it seems to be better than using Mirror Apple. We (as a whole) have only just started testing with these so it's possible there's a better combination out there that no one has found (or reported) yet.

FC member bought off of MB. As for where the ones on the MB came from, no clue. Quick ventures maybe, or someone out there already found the combo (seems unlikely since that would imply onions are only a double-cross, but who knows). I'm just hoping to get lucky and find the loop.

Well - it takes about 5 seconds to harvest it however to grow it - anything between 3 and 7 days (depending on use of fertilizer and to whcih "class" it's plant belongs).

Found a loop, but it's pretty weak and we haven't found a use for it yet. :p

For anyone that may be interested, both of my Onion princes were sandwiched between Chamomile and Almond, planted with G3 Thanalan soil, and one of them produced a Jute seed. So Onion Prince + one of those makes Jute.

I'm at work right now but an FC mate just texted me that one of my combos has produced queen mandragora seeds. When I get home I will see if I can get the nitty gritty details from the activity log.

It is not wrong, Krakka + Almond produces both Sylkis Bud and Mandrake.

My friends and I just recently managed to get a company house and I'm the only one in the group who is really interested in gardening, so I'm trying to find some like-minded individuals on my server to talk gardening with. Does anyone know of any gardening linkshells on Excalibur? Or are there any players from Excalibur who might be interested in some joint gardening endeavors?

Has anyone seen or is anyone in a gardening linkshell? Or does the gardening community generally communicate here on the forums?

I just harvested 4 Krakka - that were planted next to 4 already existing Chamomile in the plot all of then Than Grade 3 soil.

I used grade 3 thanalan topsoil. Will plant 2 test groups to see whether the broombush or the royal kukuru is the match. But for now, I'm out of seeds.. So someone else should pick up that task :)

There are so many flaws in the reasoning behind the choice to make the production of a ****ing broom this complicated that I don't even feel it necessary to list them. SE has an issue with not being able to see the forest through the trees. Chocobo raising is supposed to be like a mini game. How many people will completely abandon their hopes to simply have fun with training a bird for this convoluted mechanic? I know this is a fantasy world, but come on. Eorzea must be an obscenely filthy place when a stick with some bound straw and a nut is more valuable than gold.

I think we owe the speed to all the FC members helping with fertilizer. I just wish they had all been on when I got the onion seed. I think I broke some eardrums in vent!

Nice find Yunie. While it migh seems pretty much useless atm there is still chance that Gysahl Greens seeds will be used for future crossbreed and if yes this would be pretty relaible and cheap source ... how many seeds does it produce? Have you planted tests with them yet? I've got only one so far so now I've used your result to (hopefuly) get some more.

Gysahl Greens just seems to create more Gysahl Seeds. I planted Sylkis + Gysahl and Mimette + Gysahl + Pahsana and gotten only Gysahl Seeds from the Gysahl (FC activity says it was through successful intercross, does it always say that?)

Congrats on that find! Were you the one that planted it and/or do you know in what order they were planted? If they were planted in a clockwise or counter-clockwise fashion in order that should tell us which one it was without the need of additional testing. (also hoping it is broombrush because might as well kill two birds with one stone and make items for those brooms while we're at it)

Harvested Thavnairian Onion from Sylkis Bud in G2-1PSYCH grade 3 thanalan topsoil. BB and RK have not been harvested yet. KK above the BB yielded only krakka.

Moirethe, I always plant in reverse order. 8,7,6,...etc It looks better in the activity log. So the sylkis was #6

So Broombush is 7? Then Thavnairian Onion is Sylkis + Broombush and not Royal Kukuru.
