I do not approve of the whole Airship debacle. Why can't we see Eorzea from the air? We have to ride the Ferry in real time...Why can't we ride the airship in real time?

The "cost" is probably too high. Think about it, they would have to remake the entire world from a birds eye perspective and put it in a zone that you are only in for like 2-3 minutes. I think it is stupid that we will automatically be teleported on the airship considering we have anima to teleport wherever we want anyways.

Rein's translation mentioned that it was also partly to do with RMT countermeasures.

This I don't like. I had intended to continue levelling my DoL/DoH all together five levels at a time; crafting my own equipment and food whilst levelling up. I've run out of space in 1.0 due to materials already lol

My concern for inventory space was relieved when the announcement came that we would be receiving eight character slots per server (mules!). It was relieved further when I heard news on gear sets and housing.

Now I'm fearing the weight of my backpack again, what with the news of the armoury board (which doesn't seem to store gear, just link to it - a good system, storage issues notwithstanding), the fact that housing may not influence inventory at all (it remaining the domain of the retainer), and the above quote today.

I do wonder how it will be prevented. Banning mail to characters on the same account? Wasn't there an idea for FC storage? Won't that facilitate it? Do I have to instead ask a friend's mule to stand there and hold my items while I log on and off, trading back and forth? I hope instead that we get access to a shared storage in our housing, perhaps by having a retainer take the role as a choice instead of whatever else they have planned for them (gathering/bazaar/etc.).

That's such a petty thing.. Out of all they showed today you guys gravitate to that little thing? I get the whole immersion factor, but some people want the game to be so immersible that it mimics real life TOO much, and too much so that most people whether they play casually or not would find too tedious. And in my opinion I find that, and I don't think this is the word I mean, pathetic. A game is supposed to be an escape and fun, not a second life where you live in a virtual world, and some of the things stress you just like the real world does. I don't really equate riding on a boat or an airship to that, but that was kind of regarding the mention of immersion being less focused on in ARR a few pages back.

These live letters are just giant teases and it drives me nuts that I can't just hop on and play >:-O
Everything excites me about this game now and phase 3 we get to see the rest of the world and really get to see and experience what Naoki Yoshida is telling us to remain patient about.

While I like most of the stuff mentioned in the letter, I rly don't aprove this one:
"Q30: Will it be possible to watch PvP as a spectator without actually participating?
A30: We are planning to have it so you can view the camera of the players PvPing"

I don't want ppl to watch me playing! It's like having a spy program on u. The worst kind of stalking. Creepy as hell.

2nd thing, while I do love PVP, I'm not the very best player in the world and I realise it. I don't want ppl to come and watch the show just for a laugh or to put me thru some kind of a trial :S

Some ppl might like teh idea I guess but it should require ur permission

i think one of the reasons they aren't going to show the airship flight is because that airship is tiny. imagine 50 people on that tiny airship. that things gonna fly like a lead zepplin

Keyword here is "Events" Just because he says FATES are the only Open world content, FATEs could have many meanings to it than we know. There could be a variety of Events ( FAT*E*), that make Open world content full of life. =). Just food for thought :D.
