Gear Score, in my ARR?

I am fine as long as its only a guideline for party leader to kick out gimps, so many gimps these days.. Why do ppl wear blm af legs when a single melded legs is better than that. Being skilled and knowing how to gear comes hands to hands, you are not skilled with your class if you dont even know the mechanic of it.

This is a great way of pointing out the baddies that gear like baddies. It's an obviously flawed system, because it doesn't determine your skill.

But as someone pointed out, you'll have less BLMs in full AF and chocobo rings trying to get into your Garuda party.

Suggestion to make Gearscore work ingame?

well, i'd probably suggest stick to your friends / LS & Company and
im sure Gearscore will make little diffrence.

Like any other mmo with a good / decent community, you usually end up
getting most things done with friends or LS members rather than pickup groups.

I wouldnt worry too much about that Gearscore thing,
unless your planning on casual solo-play etc.

Because the community for this game was never all that good to begin with, it was pretty bad since the open beta.

That said, I've actually met people in game that I do play with, but that's not to say that I didn't go through a lot of terrible players. This is how all MMOs work.

People don't exactly line up for NA/english speaker pick-ups groups for a reason. They are horrible in every MMO, the good one will already have made their own LS/cliche. It's not FFXIV thing.

Compared to other MMOs, that I played FFXIV is a lot more clickly then anything else I have ever played. In FFXI I have no problem getting pick up groups to farm AF3 gear, clearing all 70 VW fights with 18 pick up people group people. Provenance Watcher the final boss in VW is shouted for on a daily basis.

Try to get a group for AV or CC in FFXIV good luck with that.

I personally think this is a terrible idea

The bigger a pain the content is, the harder it is to find people that want to do it. Now that is fact.

I've seen enough elitism and judgments passed on players based on their gear in XI to not care about XIV adopting a gear score. Just makes it easier for players to figure out which set of gear is better for them.
