Ninja, do we need it?

Ninjas make everything better, that is all.

Why would we not want ninja?? O_o what are you people high?

I would like Ninja and all other proper jobs in all honesty. I am not a fan of the build your own class thing as I just feel it dilutes everything and makes none of the classes special in their own way like a proper jobs system does.

Nobody said no to Ninja. We just don't want more blink tanking tomfoolery.

Besides, "Assassin" is already in the .dats, so unless they decide to terminate that class permanently, it's pretty much nearly a given that it'll be the defacto ninja/thief mix.

I agree to adding ninja not as a tank, but as a damager. I think that was really stupid of FFXI to have Ninja tanking. I wanted to show off some Nin/Thf skillz but it was never good

Then you should have been a "Thief with /nin".....wait nvm. It still was pretty bad. They didn't give any love to thieves in FF11 after a few expansions. :/

What is "much later"? US release? LOL.

There was one patch forever ago saying something like "enmity will now be lost when a shadow image from utsusemi is absorbed". Everyone was freaking out saying NIN wasn't a tank. If SE didn't want NIN to tank that's all they would have to have done. Just like they changed the enmity on BRD songs and DRK spells much later to gimp NIN/BRD and NIN/DRK.

They could have done anything they wanted dude nothing was stopping them lol. It's pretty obvious they didn't care about "covering" for anything when they gimped DRG and RNG.

K, this is some failed logic. We have GLA, and PUG. For DD we have MRD LNC and ARC along with CON and THM who can also support and heal. Adding any class would be redundant LOL. We don't "really need" anything. THM can solo Dodore. A good GLA and like 2 THMs can kill Great Buffalo with DoTs.

Just because you only need 1 tank to kill something doesn't mean their should only be 1 job that can do it, I. E. one excelling at something the others were bad at and vice-versa.
