Dawntrail Graphical Update - Au Ra Feedback

I'm so sentimentally attached to my character that seeing her in benchmark and not recognizing her was heartbreaking. I loved her angular features and they got removed. I'm not sure what prompted them to change lip, nose, eyes, and jaw shape for face 4 female's but it sucks so much. I pray they allow us to use our current options or revert the changes. My character means so much to me and they went and ruined her.

My issue (And I'm not sure if its been posted before) is with certain emotes/movements, the seam at the neck becomes VERY visible which I did not notice in current graphical settings:

Same, I use face 4 specifically because it wasn't as round and soft as the other faces and have since HW because I wanted Akira to be a bit harsher looking, more angular like you said. Now she's got a cutesy pout and dimples and a super rounded face. ;_; She doesn't look like herself at all.

generally can live with what they did here, but a few things:
1). scales/horns don't exactly look like they're an organic part of my body
2). my nose changed - like my nostrils are flared a bit more. definitely weird, not sure why they did that
3). lip gloss is gone (imo they need to fix this, or add a toggle) and lip colors still suck. i was hoping they'd finally make "true black" lipstick look good for once, but high-saturation and dark lip colors still look completely matte and washed out

my highlander preset on the other hand looks fantastic lol

All the extra puffiness and softness is really not great on alot of Face 4 Female Au Ra characters, especially ones that are made to look tougher and more stern. Features have been replaced with ones that have an uncanny softness that just does not fit our characters.

All my friends playing hyur got flat upgrades, my girl looks so sad.

She looks like her face just got straight up inflated, and given a 1000 yard stare. In any situation where light is directly on her face she looks like she's aged 40 years and got stung by a bee. Yes, the scale and horn textures are amazing but all the shapes of the face features are WRONG. She lost most her eye shadow, her eyes are spaced out more and just dead inside, the limbals are just hair highlights for eyes, her lips are completely wrong, her cheeks are inflated, overall she looks like someone started the process of selectively breeding her into a pug.

Like a lot of other people I have a problem with my aura.

Not talking about the lightning/washed out colors, I know character creation hasn't the best lights, and the gamma was different between the two screenshots.

BUT. Where are my limbal rings, why are they merged with the eyes? She looks like a lifeless doll when her eyes were so pretty and vibrant before, and unique with the demarcation. I can do with the nose, it doesn't change the face much in my case, but THE LIPS, why are they so small and looking like it's a duck face? The lips are really terrible, I even had to put lipstick on to actually make them slightly better, but the mouth is still totally different.

And of course I have to talk about the shitty work on the black scales, it's so ugly on dark skin (sorry developpers, maybe that why dark scales were never shown before, they're not ready for sure).

I can't get my eye off the two white dots on my character's forehead, they stand out a lot.

Don't get me wrong, the graphic update is awesome, and most of it is really neat, but there are some things that I really hope will be corrected for DT regarding the characters, because it breaks my heart to not recognize her.

They only look fine if you're pale. As it stands, there's artifacts all over the edges that really impact darker skinned au ra and it's just so disappointingly messy + all the warmth from the old skintones is gone.

My take on the limbal rings is this: They're an optional feature. One you don't even need a fantasia to change, at that. If I wanted my character to have subtle, natural-looking eyes, I simply wouldn't have given her limbal rings. Give us the glow!
